Best Asian Eyelid Surgeon

Best Asian Eyelid Surgeon

Postby Mxeman » Fri Jul 22, 2011 3:14 pm

Hey, who do you think is the best Asian Eyelid Surgeon anywhere in the states? I'm looking for a surgeon who specialize in the eyelids and no where else. Some surgeons do double eyelid surgery and rhinoplasty or something else like breast augmentation and I think it would be better if the surgeon focuses on the eyelid and nothing else. Please comment.

I am doing research right now, but Dr. Kenneth Kim seems like a good doctor.

Hello,

It has been a long time since I have been here and I wanted to contribute to this forum since it has helped me a lot in choosing my PS for my Asian eyelid surgery.

I had my surgery with Dr. Flowers in Hawaii back in 2007 and I am very happy with my results. I had blephoraplasty with medial epicanthoplasty. I was initially very disappointed with my results since I was very swollen and the folds were quite deep. The results were dramatic since it was the "anchor belphoraplasty" method. I had no idea that my folds were going to be that dramatic so it was bit of a shock.

It was definitely an emotional roller coaster and recovering from Asian eyelid surgery can be a challenge. I took me a 1.5 years to be totally happy with my results and to get use to my new eyes. It has been 5 years since my surgery and I love my eyes. I believe it has improved my appearance a great deal and I don't regret it at all. By the way Dr. Charles Lee does the same anchor method as Dr. Flowers. I actually met Dr. Charles Lee when I had my stitches out since he was coincidentally training under Dr. Flowers at that time.

Hope this helps!

Good Luck

I had done my fair share of researching for a doctor for asian blepharoplasty. It ended up being an horrible experience. I have a review on him. His name is Dr. Kenneth Kim from the LA area. Oh goodness, please spread the word. He is just absolutely horrible.

I am looking for the best plastic surgeon, blepharoplasty. I am Asian. I have immigrated to the USA 5 years ago. I am 36 now. I had blepharoplasty 12 years ago, surgeons removed fat tissue and did not take any skin, so the skin dropped on my eyes, eyes are looking sleepy.. I call my eyes doggy eyes, because the outer coners goes doewn if I do not lift my forehead. so, I can keep my eyes open if I lift my forehead.. after some years my forehead started having beginning of wrinkles.. I am in Florida and started looking for a plastic surgeon over here.. I have seen 2 plastic surgeons until I found a plastic surgeon who recommended to find a plastic surgeon out of the state Florida because according to his advise we do not have enough Asian population here and specialists doing blepharoplasty for Asians.
I have found some beautiful pictures of Dr. Thao (Oakland, MN) work and Dr. Charles Lee (CA) work... After searching in Internet, I found TWO plastic surgeon with names of Dr. Charles Lee in California, one from Los-Angeles, another from San-Francisco, both cities in CA. I am a surgery nurse. It is mentioned above that Dr. Charles Lee have the same training as Dr. Flowers. Which Dr Charles Lee is that? and I found several comments that Dr. Charles Lee is good, just which one? Dr. Lee from San-Francisco does not publish his pictures online out of respect and privacy and other Doctors do publish such pics... Please help me to choose or give your ideas about how to choose your best surgeon from another state?!
