Swollen eyelid or ptosis due to surgery? Very concerned.

Postby Alleykat2012 » Fri Jan 06, 2012 3:09 pm

I had double eyelid surgery exactly 1 month ago. I had smaller, but uneven creases prior to surgery. So the surgery was suppose to even out my eyes, and make both creases slightly bigger.

Right after the surgery, my left eye was more swollen / droopier than my right eye. Now after one month, the swelling has gone down significantly, but the left eye is still droopier. I am now very worried I have ptosis in the left eye from the surgery. I emailed my dr. and all he said was it was too early to tell :( And I am unable to see him in person due to my travel schedule.

Your thoughts and experiences on this will be much appreciated.

Hi,
I have the same thing as you. My left eyelid was way more swollen than the right and now 1 month after my surgery the left eye is droopy and is larger than the right it looks like I have ptosis. I did not have any ptosis before surgery. The left lid does not look like the right and feels tight like some stitch was put in wrong. I am seeing another doctor next week as see what he says. Has your improved any? I hate how my eyes look. I dont know what to do.
