My Dr. told me to excercise my arms, I've been doing that but my left hand swells up so much and it still feels painful at times all the way to my armpits. I have another checkup with him next month but I would like to know if there is anything I can do to help it not swell.
My right arm still swells and it goes into the forearm, but not the hand. My left arm is just fine. Of course I am a rightie, so the right arm gets more activity.
I don't think there is much we can do other than wait it out. But, I do drink my water and watch my salt. As for exercise, if it swells badly, you may just want to take the next day a bit easier. I also do a massage with just lotion and massage the arms in a circular motion per PS instructions and have also read online massage helps get the extra fluid that's stuck moving along.
Overall though, these things only help a little. I think time will be our biggest healer.
