OK, I posted recently about an incision complication which I have under control. I am down to one last issue that is causing me pain. I had an extended arm lift June 19 so I am 3 1/2 weeks. My left arm pit incision (all the way across) is much tighter than the right. So much so that I can raise the left arm only about half the way that I can my right. The incision is finally healing well but is super painful. It pulls, burns, stings, etc pretty much constantly. I also have extreme tightness on the back of the same arm that is limiting my reach. My dr says to use the arm more and it will loosen up. Using more is a 10+ in pain. Suggestions?

Sorry to hear you are dealing with this. I had my right arm come out much tighter. I am not sure it was incisional, but it was hard for me to even fully extend it for a few months. My left arm healed right up, my right arm took it's time. I am just over a year now and my right arm is still a bit tender, but it is getting very close to normal. My PS told me the arms have so many nerves that healing times can be long (till two years)..... Your arm WILL get better - it is just a matter of time.

Sorry to hear about your issue. I have not been here for a while and did not see your post. I want to add that my left arm was doing same as your right. With time it all became normal. I am 5 months post op. Please let me know if you have questions.
