Revision in 2 days under local and nervous

Revision in 2 days under local and nervous

Postby harri342 » Wed Oct 05, 2011 7:46 am

Well I have to have more lipo and scar revision on Friday under local with Valium and not looking forward to it. I don't know why but my arms really hurt the first time around and I am not looking forward to going thru it again. Has anyone had there arms done with lipo under local?

Thanks

Joann

Not yet, but I most likely will need a bit more lipo and a slight scar revision in a month or so. I don't think the recovery pain from a revision is any wear near the original surgery.

I had my arms done with local and just a couple of ativans. I didn't feel a thing. I usually don't do well during surgeries and it went well. I was totally calm. You will be fine.

That's a relief. You had lipo with it or just the incision? It's the lipo I was worried about but I have had lipo on the flanks under local and I did fine so hopefully it will be the same.

Thanks for replying.

Back from revision on Friday and doing pretty good. I was wide awake even though I took 2 valiums and a tylenol 4. A couple times I felt a little pain and told him and he would put more novacain in the area. The first day/night took tylenol 4 but was making me sick to my stomach so switched to extra strength tylenol. I had my incision come down further down my arm and down the under the arm pit. He cut a lot of fat out and did more lipo. For some reason I always had a lot of extra fat on arms and bra area even though I am a size 8/10.

Today I am getting the blues a little and wishing I did not have to go through this again.

All in all def easier than the first time around so far.

Thanks to all who responded.

Hi to all....I am back to work today and feeling a little better everyday. Still a long road ahead of me but I am accepting it and working on being positive.

I suppose I will still have several months of swelling but times goes by fast so I'm sure it will be better before I know it.

Thanks again for checking on me.

Good for you for staying positive. I am sure revisionary surgery will be a speedier recovery than the first time. Hang in there!
