1 week post op - hate this compression garmet

1 week post op - hate this compression garmet

Postby thenewme2011 » Thu Nov 10, 2011 3:11 pm

I had TT with brachioplasty one week ago today. Overall - VERY happy with results and recovery thus far. The one part that has been the most irritating is the compression garmet. It's really bothering me on one arm in particular - feels like I have a pinched nerve or something. PS put me in a combo piece with bra. She's ordering me a second option that covers arms and just connects across shoulders in back - so I can wear my own bra. Going to try that to see if it's more comfortable.

What CG's did you find the most comfortable? How long post op did you wear yours? My PS recommends 6 weeks.

That all said - my arms are TINY!!! I guess if this irritation is the worst I have to deal with - I should consider myself lucky!!!

I wore the one with just sleeves that hooked in the back. I wore it for close to 3 months but only at night. I had to cut a small slit in the forearms though b.c I had pretty bad forearm swelling and they just would get too tight there.

Sounds like you are doing very well and your arms will get tinier and tinier as the swelling goes down.
