Anything I Can Do to Drop Faster?

Anything I Can Do to Drop Faster?

Postby tangerine » Thu Dec 29, 2005 7:54 pm

I am 6 weeks PO and hoping I have a lot of changes to come. I see some BA's that look great one week PO and it's a little discouraging since I'm still not where I want to be. My PS is having me wear a band and no bra but it's not helping that much.

I don't have all the details except to say that I know I have round saline smooth unders.

Can I do any massage to help open the pocket?

Also, I've read conflicting things -- some people get smaller and some bigger after they fluff. I really hope I don't get any smaller!!

What has been your experience? Any advice appreciated.

Tangerine, be patient. I can relate. I also had under the muscle saline implants. One of mine dropped faster than the other and I had to wear the band over the left one. My boyfriend said I looked like a pirate hah. It takes some of us longer to heal than others. I happen to be one of the slower healers and I felt like I was wearing that band for longer than I had hoped to. I wore that band so tight, I made my back hurt. I figured if I wore it tighter it would work faster. It is working but it's just so gradual you can't really see it.

As for bigger or smaller after fluff....I still don't know what fluff is! Can you shed some light please?

Dropping and fluffing:

OK...imagine buying a pillow that is encased in one of those shrink wrapped packages that has all the air sucked out of it so that it is a small package. Imagine what happens if you take a needle and put a small hole in the packaging. Does the pillow all of a sudden pop up to full size immediately? No...it gradually fills up and after a time it fluffs out to the full pillow size it really is. The compression of the packaging held it all in until it was stretched more.
That is what the fluffing is all about.....your implants are compressed like the pillow UNDER your muscle....the muscle has to stretch to allow the implant to FLUFF out....depending on your muscle tightness, etc depends on how long it will take you to fluff and drop.

BklynGrl--LOL on the pirate thing! My PS told me not to wear a bra at all, but like THAT'S possible -- I do have to go out in public, ya know... I was hoping someone would tell me I could massage it or...something! I love my TT--actually it was all about the TT and my BA was kind of an afterthought. The girls on the TT board are awesome if you ever have any questions.

YourOwn--in your pics you look like you got a little bigger as time went on...is that true? Thanks for the info on D&F.

I'm a little over 5 weeks post-op BA mentor smooth round, under muscle. Was 34A preop & now am a 34C. Also had lipo on flanks, upper/lower abs, outer thighs.

My left breast is definitely leading the race as far as the healing process goes, but my right girl has been stubborn until I started getting professional massages for my lipo & BA at 3 weeks post op. I can attest that my right breast has done leaps & bounds ever since I have sought out professional & experienced in PS massotherapy. I was also given massage exercise homework for the right breast as well to do on my own at home. Basically lying down on my back, pulling the breast upward fairly aggressively to stretch out the muscles to give the implant somewhere to drop into. Holding in that position for at least 30 seconds, then doing the same by pushing it inward toward the other breast, hold again. Then take opposite hand to cup opposite breast that you're massaging, pinch the top portion of breast (again pretty aggressively ensuring you have a good amount) until you feel the implant drop to the lower portion of breast into the palm of hand that you're cupping breast with. Geeze, it's hard to explain & I hope I've drawn a good mental picture because these massage exercises really have helped me soooo much.

I was also experiencing alot of pain & tenderness, & the massaging (though painful & uncomfortable at first) has really allieviated all of it.

Sending healing energy! :)

Excellent! You described that very well and I think I can feel what you're talking about. I'll give it a try.

On the Fence, LOL@Leading the Race. I had one of those too.

Miki, thanks so much for the info. You are always so informative. My boobs were huge when I took the bandage off, I guess they already "fluffed" at that point. It was the dropping that gave me some trouble. I was just a bit slow. As On the Fence said, my right one was leading my race.

BTW, I didnt wear a bra when I wore the band. I had to go to work too. What I did was buy loose, thick sweaters. Believe me, you arent swinging anywhere at this point. I was I think 6 days post op when I went back to work. I didnt need the band until about 4 wks later. I sometimes also wore a jacket over the sweaters at first. I had to wear the band and didnt want it to show.

Hang in there! At 6 months PO I went from a 32DD to a 34DD. I probably should wear a 32DDD, but cannot find that size anywhere. So, they really do take time to fluff. It really is a slow process.

I too had to wear a band. To me, that was one of the worst parts. It does get better! Wait till you can shop for some cute bras.

Best of luck to you!!
