Blue Water Surgery?? Dr. Kaila for BA?

Blue Water Surgery?? Dr. Kaila for BA?

Postby missbw » Tue Dec 15, 2009 11:50 am

Hi everyone,
I'm new to the site and i've been looking into different plastic surgeons in the southern ontario region, for a breast aug. I've been to see Dr. Kaila at Blue Water Surgery in Sarnia, On. He's a very nice and caring doctor and his staff were very knowledgable at my free consultation. I was wondering if anyone has had surgery from here before? I have a few co-workers who have had work done by him and are very pleased.
Any comments would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Sara

I've had it done last month and very happy with the results. He definitely knows what he's doing and felt I was in good hands. His staff is also very well experienced and helped make the whole process easier. Here's a link to his breast aug procedure if you need it.

My girlfriend recently got a Breast Augmentation at blue water surgery by Dr.Kaila. We were very pleased with the consultation it went very well and she was very comfortable with getting the work done. They had called her every other day prior to payment and booking date to see if she was ready/had the funds yet to do the surgery and was very understanding and helpful. Well the surgery happends, mind you her appointment was about 3 hours behind schedule - Dr Kaila did not come and re introduce himself or even make an appearance before they put her under before the surgery - he also didnt speak to her after wards, He was no where to be found, but apparently did the surgery. Very umprofessional. Afterwards my gf had some concerns about the work and the appearance, they were very rude towards her and basically treated her like a hypochondriac, few weeks later she had some problems with the scarring and had called several times over and over, as her stitches came out and you can see the tissue and infection oozing out, when she finally got ahold of someone - the nurse basically said it was fine to steri strip it back. Off to emerge she went to find she had a bad infection and needed anti biotics. I find it odd how they can call you off the hook before they get your money once the surgery is done they basically cut you loose with hardly no help or aftercare to settle her nerves when she needed reassurance they were not compassionate at all. I wouldnt recommend this place to anyone. Her scars clearly got infected and ontop of that looks like she been butchered with a butterknife that wasnt clean. I wish we did our homework because for 8700$ she could of had professional care and surgery done elsewhere. They take the cash and cut you loose and work on wheeling the next person in to the slaughter house. Look up reviews on rateyourmd.com the only good ones are shams. Good luck if you do decide to go here, dont forget your pig for the butchering job.

The is not a professional clinic. Only one person hasn't quit and her job is to harass people to book and pay for surgery and after surgery her job is to tell people they will be fine and not to go to ER. (yet quite sure she isn't a medical professional.)
Some nurses have quit after the first surgery done with Dr. Kaila. He is sloppy, unprofessional and careless. He gives advice that has zero medical backing. He should not be operating on anyone! I also said I did not want my pictures used in publications yet, I found my before pictures with someone else as my after picture in a magazine...that is fraud!! He also met with me once and he had obviously been consuming alcohol.
This doctor doesn't have a clue what he is doing: breasts fall out, noses are not straight, stomachs are made worse, lipo overused. I was given lipo and when I asked about it after I was told it is not good after a certain age(I am over that age). I was not told this before. My surgery was so botched that anyone could have done a better job. It looks like I was stabbed several times instead of having plastic surgery. I was timid and when he said, I had to pay for the nurse and anesthetist in my repair surgery I agreed but, he should have paid. Now, I just want my money back so I can get repair work done. I want to make sure he loses his supposed good name and his title (doctor) Please warn as many as possible!!
I want to sue him but, need to find the least expensive way as possible. I also would be willing to donate part of my settlement to assist others in their need to sue him also. Any suggestions??

I am a former patient of Dr Kaila's. He is a plastic surgeon who works in Sarnia Ontario. I had a series of skin removal surgery's post gastric bypass surgery. Recently I noticed some problems with the outcome of this surgery. Initially I thought it was from the swelling but Dr Kaila assured me that it would take up to a year for this surgery to heal and I just had to be patient. Over the last year I have become very concerned. Under my arms the skin is puckered. My armpit area has protrusions that I'm not sure they're supposed to. The most concerning after affect from this surgery is that I have extreme swelling in my right leg and absolutely no feeling or sensation in my underarms, between my legs and across my abdomen. Dr Kaila initially assured me this would come back in time as the nerves heal. I have called his office several times over the past year and cannot get my call returned regarding my concerns. I am very frustrated. I feel that I am more disfigured now than I was prior to my surgery. I am unable to wear shorts or short sleeve T-shirts. I am embarrassed of my scaring. I cant feel any sensation over 30% of my body and I cant seem to get a return phone call from Dr Kaila. I currently live in Sevierville,TN and I am unable to go to Dr Kaila and confront him on this matter. I paid over 30,000 dollars of my life savings to feel normal again and now I feel worse. I hope you can help I'm not sure who to contact. Its been 4 years since this surgery and I doubt I'll have any feeling ever come back if it isn't back by now.
I am currently looking into a lawsuit against Dr. Kaila or the clinic. Dr Kaila is now trying to practice in Atlanta so apparently he just moves around. If anyone else is interested in exploring legal options email me . acutabovedrywall@gmail.com

Without going into detail I have also been trying to figure out out to sue and/or destroy this clinic. I just got off the phone again with Amanda the "office" person who told me it is my fault that I lost no weight with the balloon. I was promised a health coach through the whole process and one never appeared. I was supposed to have been prescribe meds for reflux which they never called in. I asked numerous times. I was supposed to come back in the day after it was inserted to have an IV for fluids and they told me not to bother. My GP tells me that was very dangerous. When I was inquiring about it and going through the payment process they would call 3 or 4 times a day. After they were paid i never heard another peep. This place needs to be taken down. i would even go sit outside the office with a picket sign if I knew there were others willing to join me.

If I lived in the area I would definitely sit outside the clinic with ya with a picket sign...lol. I have contacted the Ontario College of Physicians and Surgeons Board who are supposed to govern over all surgeons in Ontario. I encourage all of you to do the same. They assigned me a investigator who is contacting Dr Kaila and asking for an explanation to my complaint. I don't believe you can sue him in your country but you can stop him from practicing if the College finds that his methods are detrimental to his patients. I spent approximately $25000 to end up with horrible scars and no sensation in over 30 percent of my body. I have not heard back from the investigator yet but I'll keep you posted on my outcome. I'm not sure how Canadian law works in regards to lawsuits against doctors however If a class action suit was to be initiated I'd be happy to include myself in the class. I've thrown away $25000 ...whats a couple thousand more....my email is acutabovedrywall@gmail.com if anyone is interested....

I think a class action law suit is a great idea. I had a tummy tuck in 2011 and I have been left with a large indent on my hip and the scar across my stomach looks like I was butchered. I want to sue but I was at bluewater today and was told dr kaila has left and they don't no where he is I was promised scar revision and to have yhe indent fixed but was told I would be charged for it. There best solution was for me to find dr kaila and have him fix like wtf. I'm so pissed I have no feeling in my skin what so ever and I've been left with horrible scars. If anyonewants to get together and find a lawyer to sue my email is cinderbella74@live.ca lets put an end to this bullshit.

I too have had a bad experience with this clinic and feel it should be taken down. Aside from a very poor result from my surgery, I had the same experience with Amanda who was rude and demeaning to me once she got my money. I would be pleased to join forces with you - at the very least, anyone with a complaint should contact the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario. There may not be immediate satisfaction, but the more complaints they hear, the more likely something may be done in future. I would like to talk to you and anyone else who has had a problem with this clinic as we are stronger if we work together. Another option is small claims court - momtotwoplus@hotmail.ca

Sure wish I had seen this website before going to Blue Water for my surgery. Talk about a botched up job! While I see that your problem happened sometime ago, I wonder if you are still following the posted comments. It is important that complaints are registered with The College of Physicians and Surgeons - the more they receive, the more likely action will be taken against this clinic. I have not checked this site in awhile. I did make a complain to The College and am still in that process. At the same time I still think we should band together to try and nail this SOB. He has since lost his privileges in the hospital as well. I am still paying to the third party financial company. I wish I could just stop but the jerk already got his money. I have thought of going to small claims court. Depending on what the College says I will go that route as well.

I am glad you have complained to The College of Physicians and Surgeons, but you should continue with small claims or open court as well, regardless of what the College may say. Do this now - don't wait to hear from The College, because others are doing the same. I have contacted various lawyers and intend to proceed. I would like to talk to you and anyone else who has experienced a problem. Please email me at MyDawgRox@hotmail.ca

4 years ago I went to Dr.Kayla for a breast augmentation and a tummy tuck. I was left in in so much pain after a weeks worth of drugs,,I was told others don,t have the pain you have and was made to feel like I was the only one who was ever in so much pain. I had not slept in 3 weeks after the operation from pain.
Now when I went back fr my appointment I said the right breast feels like the implants is coming through the muscle( I had under the muscle implants that were like gummy bear consistency ) he said no one is going to walk up to you and feel the implant! Now 4 years later I have so much pain in my right breast,,,learning that it has bottomed out and it hurts beyond belief to even wear a bra.
I think I am going to have to go to another doctor have them taken out and pay for his mistake.
My belly button never looked right from the get go,,,brought that up and he said it will imrove as it heals,,you can see the cut mark all the way around,,like a flag saying hey I had surgery! My insicion fr the tummy tuck looks like Someone went across with a chainsaw,,
So if I had of read these comments from others I would never have chose to go there at all and regret it everyday now.
I feel like I paid 10,000. to be maimed for life,,,I will forever have scars ,both physical and emotional,,that I did it to my self...do your self a favour,,stay clear of this place,,,
The girl that said soething about the staff being rude was correct,,the recovery nurse just wanted me out of there so quick after,,,I went over to that motel l they told us to stay at,,puked my guts out,,it felt like my entire body would go into shock,,as my muscles had just been trn apart,,,i wonder if they even used an gravol in my IV to stop this,,,
She made me feelstupid and ashamed that I entioned the amount of pain I was in. I can take pain,,I had 3 kids naturally no meds..
Don,t go here do your research
If anyone knows of a doctor in he London area that could help me with this bottoming out of the implant I would appreciate it.
