Age 52 - To Implant or Not to Implant?

Age 52 - To Implant or Not to Implant?

Postby mngirl2011 » Sat Nov 03, 2012 6:13 am

I know this is a personal choice, but I'm struggling so with this decision. I'm a D and after a lift will be a C. The lifts I often see look kind of flat and I like the upper pole of an implant. But, the reality is the age thing and usually the need for another surgery.

Question for older lift gals:

Are you glad you just got a lift. Did the perky and no need to further surgery down the road make you happy?

I am 48 and recently had implants replaced and a new lift. I will need another in another 12-14 years (hopefully can go that long), and it is definitely worth it to me.

My mom had implants replaced and a new lift at 65! I mean, you kind of have to they are not forever. She debated the lift, but decided that since she was having surgery anyway might as well have the lift. She's not huge, her size is perfect for her and she keeps herself in good shape. So why not?

You are not old at 52 - and those who have had implants years earlier are having it done again at your age and much older because you have to, so you are not alone in this! I say go for it, fully realizing that with a foreign body in you like an implant, the day will come when you will need them replaced.
