BL and BA 11/23/09 Need your opinions please re: sizeHi! I am so glad to have found this site and all the info it has.
A little background on me: I am 32 years old, have 3 kids, all BF. I had a BA in 2001, after my second child. I was previously a 36C. I had the choice in 2001 of an implant to fill out the deflated skin from PG/BF or a lift and implant. Being 23 at the time, I elected for the implant ONLY. Fast forward 8 years and one more kid and I am where I was to begin with only with larger, saggier breasts. I am having a full lift with implants replaced on 11/23/09. I am looking for any ideas/thoughts regarding size. My surgeon will try on different sizes during surgery to achieve the desired look. I think he said around 290 cc with the full lift. I am 5'8", 125 lbs (waist 26). I currently have 425 cc under the muscle saline. I am having the full lift with a smaller implant. I want to be a full 36 C. With a 290ish Silicone implant, where do you think this will put me? I will try to post now pics to help you get a better idea. I went from a 36C to a 36DD with my current 425cc salines. Thanks for any input! ***Current pic**** http://www.makemeheal.com/pictures/brea ... ant-a10442 PW: mypics2009
Re: BL and BA 11/23/09 Need your opinions please re: sizeI will be going in on Thursday (yikes!!!) for a lift and implants.
I am shorter than you - 5'2" and 118 pounds right now. I am a size 36c and a 36d on the other (darn uneven breasts!) I really struggled with this one because I do not want to go larger! I need to lift things up and get rid of the excess skin and sagging. My implants I chose are in the low 200 ranges (I don't remember the exact sizes - he ordered a few sizes just so he makes sure he gets things as even as possible). I think one will be 235 and the other 285 - I am hoping that I am not any larger than what I am now- I realize they will or should have a different shape/fullness to them. It's always hard to say because I have looked and looked at people getting lifts with implants and it amazes me how much they can vary and how different the implant sizes can be and the end results. Just my opinion- I don't know how much excess skin you have so if it were me, I think I would feel fairly confident and comfortable going with the 290ish silicone implant. You obviously won't be bigger than what you are now so I would assume this will take you down a size. But I'm no expert! Good Luck! I realize I probably didn't help much - I do have pics as well of my before nekkid boobs. PW: feelingood
Re: BL and BA 11/23/09 Need your opinions please re: sizeHi,
Thank you for your reply. We are very similar when I looked at your pics, I am a little saggier than you are tho =o) You are going in this Thursday? That is so exciting! I am 20 more days, which will fly, I am so busy with grad school. What is your PS having you wear after surgery? Do you know if you will have drains? My pre-op is next week so I will know more then. You will have to let me know how you do when you feel up to it? Do you know what pain meds you are getting for after> Sorry for all the questions! J
Re: BL and BA 11/23/09 Need your opinions please re: sizeI did ask what I would wear and how long but I didn't get in to specifics as to what brand and exactly what they look like. I guess I just don't worry about those details! I have asked him tons of other questions! LOL I know he said he had to be careful because with a lift and the implant he didn't want to have it too tight so mess up the incisions. I trust him - he did my tummy tuck a couple years ago and I have no problems letting him do what he feels best.
No drains (at least I believe that is what he said! LOL which is good because I had them with my breast reduction and I hated them!) and they were a necessary evil with the tummy tuck and a pain then too. I'm just nervous because I don't want to be any bigger but need to fix how my breasts have bottomed out and give some fullness at the top which I lack right now. I guess the biggest thing for me too was that even if I wear a good bra I still don't get nice cleavage. They may look OK with the bra but if it is revealing at all, the cleavage is just nasty! I can't remember what he gave me last time - I want to say it was percocet because I feel like that works better for me than the lortab. I also had anti nausea pills because I threw up a few hours after surgery when I attempted to eat. I just kept with taking the pills on schedule with my tummy tuck and took it easy and it really did make a difference. I am looking forward to using the direct instructions of not picking up heavy things and not vacuuming for a couple weeks! LOL - Hopefully if I get a chance I can update over the weekend and will keep you posted. I
Re: BL and BA 11/23/09 Need your opinions please re: sizeHi Txgal! We are having our BLs on the same day!
I think it sounds like you are gonna be right where you wanna be with the 290s cc. I had a BR a little over a year ago and lost some weight since then. PS offered to give me a lift for free while revising my brachioplasty scars. Even though my breasts don't look too bad, they are def. saggier and have a fair amt of loose skin from my weight loss. So I'm hoping the BL will put my breasts back where they should be had I not lost the weight. I'm a C/D cup now so I'm a little bit worried I'll get too small. I wouldn't mind being a C but I'm worried that I'll be smaller than that. I'm not a small person so much smaller would just not look right on me! My pre op is on Saturday... can't wait!!! Let's keep in touch, ya? We'll recover together Here are my pics: http://www.makemeheal.com/pictures/brac ... done-a9216 password is TL2010 BR 9.08

Re: BL and BA 11/23/09 Need your opinions please re: sizeHi Txgal,
I am getting ready to select my ps for a BA/BL, it will be my first surgery ever! I am struggling with size too. I am just about your same measurements. I am 5'9 130 27inch waist. My bra size is a 34C. I want to be a fuller C, if I am a small D I can live with that. I have been looking at 275-300 mod profile implants. When I try them on they fill my current bra. Where I get confused is when they say if you like that size go bigger. Some are telling me to go up to the next implant, some are saying go 50cc's more...to make it more complicated one suggested trying the high profile since I have a smaller ribcage. The implants have a dimension chart. Several ps have used that chart as a guide to select the proper sizes for my body. My ideal size for my frame was 12cm. So for the mod profile implant anything from 275-350 work for me although anything over the 300 starts to feel matronly on me because it encroaches my arms (this was why someone suggested the high profile for me). Since you are a 36 I suspect you may want to go up more than 290. I think that measurement is your breast fold? Ask your ps for your measurements. Here is the link to the charts: http://www.allaboutimplants.com/breast_ ... icone.html

That is a great chart! Thank you. I never even thought to ask him about this as well. Hopefully he will answer a lot of my questions tomorrow. I measured my rib cage and it is 27 so according to that I should be wearing a 32 band now? LOL The 36 bands are big but not huge so who knows. Do you have your surgery scheduled?
Re: BL and BA 11/23/09 Need your opinions please re: size
Hi! Our pre- boobs are very similar! Are you getting nervous? I am a little but I have so much to do between now and then it is unbelievable!
