Healing time?

Healing time?

Postby maggiebr » Fri Oct 19, 2012 6:12 pm

I was recently diagnosed with lupus and I want my implants out! I have scheduled surgery for explant and lift next Friday, but I'm scared.

Because I have the anticardiolipin antibody I have to be on lovenox for a week after surgery. I'm afraid of a hematoma and, or wound separation.

Lastly, and for the main part of my question. How long until you felt better? How long until you felt like your wounds were healed and weren't going to open? I have a 5 month old son and am dreading not being able to hold him, but I can't keep going with these implants. They may not be related to the lupus, but their just not worth it to me.

Thank you!

You may want to check with your physician first, but Wound-Be-Gone is really good for helping wounds close and heal:

ImageWound-Be-GoneHydrophilicScarGel
Wound-Be-Gone is a revolutionary new scar cream that can be used while your wound is still healing and has yet to close to dramatically accelerate wound healing and prevent scar formation. It is a unique combination of highly effective “moist healing” and a patented active ingredient. The moist environment supports the movement of cells and maintains a constant temperature in the wound, which is critical for quick healing without unsightly scars. The active ingredient removes free oxygen radicals from the site of the wound and, at the same time, creates an elastic layer that prohibits contact between the wound and its external environment. This prevents the wound from becoming contaminated and speeds the healing process.

Here are two reviews on the product that made me think it might help:

I AM DIABETIC AND SORES WON'T HEAL. I HAD 2 SORES ON MY LEG FOR OVER A MONTH, TRIED 3 OTHER ANTIBIOTICS AND NOT MUCH CHANGE. I ORDERED WOUND BE GONE AND USED IT 2 TIMES AND SORES DRIED UP AND NO MORE PAIN. THIS STUFF IS UNBELIEVEABLE. I THOUGHT IT WAS I LITTLE HIGH PRICED BUT WORTH EVERY PENNY. DON'T HESITATE TO BUY.

I recently had a double mastectomy, I had some problems healing underneath my arm pit where a longer incision had to made due to some excess fat. The wound rejected the stitches and also rejected the medical glue. It was completely open along with a nice size hole from the drains. I used the gel for 1 week and the wound closed completely. It was well worth the money!
