Do you still wear a bra much?

Do you still wear a bra much?

Postby mitzil » Sun Aug 04, 2013 12:37 pm

I'm 4 months out from BR and it went very well. I'm to the point where after all these years of wearing bras that suck, hurt, pinch my shoulders etc, because of my breast size, I don't want to wear one at all! :D

I've read some people still wear a bra 24/7 and I'm not sure if I need to or not. I suppose I could ask my surgeon when I see him, but thought maybe someone would have some answers here.

Hi Mitzil! Usually it's recommended that you wear some kind of compression garment or bra for at least 8 weeks after surgery, but as of 4 months it should not be mandatory. Of course it'd be best to see what your surgeon has to say, but if you had proper compression for the two months after the operation, you should be okay if you're comfortable without the garment. :)

Thank you, Sarah! I did wear one continuously through the 2 months after surgery and now I never want to wear one again. :)
