Hello Ladies

Im so excited that im finally on my way to see Dr. Fuentes for my FG . He gave a pretty decent quote but a doctor in DR gave me a better one. His name is Dr. guilermo Lorenzo in Dr. he does full body lipo for 3500 and TT for another 1000. i seen his work on one person but not many photos. A friend of mine is swearing by him so thats what is making me feel a lil comfortable. both sd that i am a candidate for a TT but i dont want one until im finish having kids. getting my booty is my priority and to be honest the contouring is just a plus. however, i do want so soft lipo to my abs. they say it may look pruny but Dr. Yoho sd if they do it right it shouldnt because it don have overhang i have a pouch. but because i know that fuentes is not he best in lipo and this guy i see was good at it i really am kinda stuck.

I am 200lbs and am 5'11. if i can have some MMH sisters that are built like me that had some lipo to th abs that opted out of a TT please help me to some photos or advice. thanks so much and forgive me for the lengthy message.

I'm pretty new to the boards but in ur same situation. I am 190lbs and 5'8. I won't be able to answer ur question until after March 30th. That is when I'm scheduled to have my surgery with Dr. Fuentes. I also opted out of tt which Fuentes recommended. I had a c-section some years ago and have this pouch that just won't go away no matter how many crunches and situps I do. We have to be realistic when it comes to the end results of the lipo surgery. I plan to have endermology twice a week even though they recommend 3-4 times a week but I can't afford 4xwk. Its $80 a session! I also will be hitting the gym hard 3-4 xwk with my trainer. I will be posting my before and after pics during the first week of April and will keep everyone posted on my experience. Good Luck!!

I am 5'8 and I was 193 when I went for my consultation in January and my doctor said he didnt wanna do a TT since I dont have any kids yet but he wanted me to work on my stomach (esp. the pouch) so that he can lipo my stomach without any skin sagging.
I have been dieting and hitting the gym HARD and I am now 182 and my stomach has gone down but still have a pouch (though smaller).
My big day is MArch 29th and I will DEFINTELY be posting pix so I am hoping for the best!

I don't think I was a plus size pre-op but I was 156 and 5'4. I can tell you from experience that if more than one Dr. suggests a TT and you don't get it you will not be happy with the results, so you have to be realistic.

Dr. Fuentes did not recomend one for me, but Gongora and one here in MD/ DC area did. I was flat out insistent that i was not going to have that scar wraped around me and my stomach was not too bad. And i am definately done having kids, i just did not want the scar on my flawless skin. I had a little pouch but no overhand. My fat was in the upper abdomen.

Well i had the lipo, love the FG to my ass, my waist went from 31 to 27 but i have loose skin in a few areas and it looks like i swallowed a few rocks. The overall conturing is much better and in clothes i look smashing, but i am not happy with them off. My stomach could have been perfect if i had chosen to get the TT with the right Dr.

It has gotten better with lots of abdominal exercise and massage. But if you have a lot of abdominal fat be prepared to have loose skin and not so good lipo results.

I have been researching Dr. Camillo and i love her incisions so if i cannot get my abs downt to exactly what i want then i will get the TT afterall.

Just be realistic in your expectations, and it also depends on how much stomach fat you are working with. Do you really want a nice big ole booty and a gut?

The key to success is to choose the right surgeon....Fuentes is really not the man when it comes to this sort of situation.

Pay close attention and I am more than certain that you will make the right choice.

Try not to get too caught up on the booty.

i cant stress how much both of you are right. mercedes i share the same feeling as you ( oh no not my nice skin, not that long as scar yet i have a pudgy stomach only on the top but loose at the bottom. However, im so stuck on how i seen DR Yoho do his lipo to big girls leaving them nice and flat w/o needing a TT. getting my booty is the priority but its now changing because im going to fuentes and as you sd his lipo is suspect. I wouldnt mind going to Gongora but his ass wont answer or return e=mails and phone calls. Idk i need some help!

Plus Gongora is TT happy and he prefers the wrap around scar, from hip to hip most of the time. Which is why i turned him down., (no offense to those who went to him,) so don't go blasting a sista out please. If he would consider the extended and not circular i may have considered him. But if you are overweight rest assure he is going to reccommend a TT. He oftentimes does not even give you the option of not having it.

Hey guys, I think the best thing to do is be realistic about your skin texture/tone, if you can grab more than an inch, or it feels sloppy at all (like not 'tuff' if you know what I mean) , chances are it wont look that good if you just have lipo. I had a circular TT with Gongora last year, but Ihad no other option as I lost more than 100 pounds anyway, but to be honest I can see from most girls at his clinic you dont get the same tiny waist, and hourglass figure unless you go for the tuck. However, that makes it a major operation rather than a relatively minor lipo one so its a big decision! I actually asked Angelica yesterday before I left the clinic why he recommends TT for so many people, she said he does it when he can see that the results from lipo would not be satisfactory (to him or you?) from the photos, which is why he refuses which is fair enough I suppose if he would rather keep a certain rep than take the money and have people walk away unhappy - but then whose to say you wouldn't be unhappy with a little pouch!

Sorry for the delay in response! My sister and I are having surgery with Dr. Fuentes the same day. Lipo to upper/lower back, waist, upper and lower abd, and fat grafting. Unfortunately, we will just miss each other because we fly out on the 6th of April back to Florida. Where will u be staying when u arrive in Mexico?

I am one of the plus size sista's booked with Dr. G He told me that I needed a tt at first but then I went to dr. yoho and they told me i only needed lipo. I told dr. g that i only wanted to have the lipo and he told me that i could go either way. He told me that i am a good canidate for both but he would rather i have a tt since i had 5 children. He said that either way i would have good results but he wanted to take even more inches off of my waist with the tt. he also said that i may have some sagging if i did not have the tt. well, i decided to have the tt because i want to be happy in the end. i am not looking forward to the scar but his scars look good from what i have seen. another big reason that i am going with the tt is because for the 1st time in my life i really know what rolls are like and i want them gone! the rolls on my back will be gone and i did not want to risk having rolls hang over my pants if my skin sagged. so i guess you can say i am one that will be bending under pressure. but i am doing this for me and i want it to be right! i am going to be working on the scar as soon as i can to ensure that it disappears like aries's scar did.

Hello ladies, I think that every case is different, if you are planning on having more children you should not have TT but sometimes there are reasons why the lipo is less likely to work (if you're over 40 or have lots of loose skin) and some doctors won't do large volume lipo for health reasons. I was a little nervous with the idea of getting a TT when I had thought I was going in for lipo but having a really great surgeon who talked me through all the options in the end I followed his advice, that was three years ago, yes, there were scars but in my case they were less noticeable than when I had my C-sections and only really visible on the bottom where my bikini (yeah!) now covers them. BTW the recovery home where I stayed in Cuernavaca was more like a bed and breakfast set up, so I stayed there for the entire trip with breakfast in bed
