I had my consult with Dr Jimerson in Atlanta

I had my consult with Dr Jimerson in Atlanta

Postby atlprincess404 » Thu Sep 15, 2011 11:30 am

I had my consult for fat transfer to buttocks with Dr Andrew Jimerson in Atlanta. Im going to try and be as detailed as possible for anyone who also might be interested in Dr Jimerson...

Facility:
The office is located in Suwanee by Johns Creek. Its in a nice part of town in a shopping center with a cluster of other offices. When I walked in the office was very clean and well decorated.

Staff:
The receptionist was very nice. Aziza is one of the other receptionists who took down all of my info and took some pictures of me. She answered all my questions and we pulled up some pictures of what I want my booty to look like. Dr Jimerson made a good choice with his staff. Aziza is very nice, warm, and funny. She put me more at ease about the whole thing. She was very honest with me about everything. When I mentioned I was considering going to Mexico she didnt look at me crazy, she was very understanding and encouraged me to keep researching until I found the right place for ME. There was absoloutley no pressure to book a date or anything. She did warn me that if I get a botched job no US surgeon will work on me. She said she's seen alot of women go to Mexico (didnt say what doctor) and try and get revisions in the US and no doctor will work on them because they dont want to put themselves at risk. There was a lady getting surgery when I was there and the nurses kept the family in the waiting room informed every step of the way. All around very positive environment.

Dr Jimerson
Dr Jimerson looks really young. Cant be any older than 40. He said hes been practicing for about 5 years. He had just got out of surgery so I could tell he was a little tired. He was nice, but he didnt seem very excited to be there. He seemed a little exasperated when I asked him what his lipo and injection technique was-maybe I was asking too many questions. But again he had someone fresh out of surgery next door so Im sure his mind was elsewhere. Anyway he was very honest with me about my goals. I told him I didnt want a ghetto Buffy booty since that would look ridiculous on me and Im only 5'2. I am around 130 and he told me to try to gain 5-10 pounds and I could get around 650 cc. He told me that since Im short I dont need as much fat as other people and 650cc is going to look bigger on me than it would a 5'7 woman. I asked him if he has had any deaths or lawsuits in his career and he said no deaths but he has been sued twice  I dont know how I feel about that. On one hand I know alot of doctors and have worked in medical facilities so I know how sue happy people can be when they dont get what they expected from a doctor. But two lawsuits in five years concerned me. Im going to talk to some other doctors and see if this is a red flag or not. He does NOT use centrifugation. I believe he said he uses something called the gravity method? When I asked him what speed he removes the fat from he just said "low" So idk about his technique..he wasnt very forthcoming with information. His anesthesiologist is not an MD but a CRNA. This isnt a bad thing for all you non medical people. CRNAS school is HARD HARD HARD and VERY competitive. They have to have a certain amount of experience before
they can even apply for CRNA school.

The Booties:
One of his nurses had the fat grafting done in July and her ass was like POW! It looked sooooo good. And she only had 650cc but it looked more like 1000. When I asked to see some before and afters I was told he doesnt keep any in his office but they offered to pull up the photos from the website. I declined since Ive already seen those...There was also another woman leaving as I was coming in and she had a boppy pillow in her hand. She had a flowy dress on but I could tell she had ass through that dress. So his work in person looks good but his lack of presentation concerned me.

They quoted me $7700 all cash or $8200 by card. Overall the experience was good. I am torn between Fuented and Jimerson. Jimerson is close to home so i can recover at home and not have to leave my dog somewhere for like a week. However Fuentes has more experience and his asses are perfect. His lipo is a gamble and I would hate to go through all that and have a fucked up stomach.

Hi I just had my surgery with Dr. jimerson on 9/9 and so far so good. Like you said staff was excellent and Dr. Jimerson's bedside manner was great. We talked and we laughed and he answered all of my questions. I had a TT, BBL, lipo to back, flanks, inner thighs. I have not put up pics yet due to me being tired and in a hotel room in GA and I just want to go home! I follow up with him in the morning and I am hoping he will let me go he has to remove the drains first. His lipo was great my back and thighs are much smaller than before. I am swollen my bootie is Big and round and I requested a Non buffy bootie as well! When I came out of surgery my waist was really small I am swollen now but cannot wait till it gets back to how it was on day 1. I am a nurse and will tell you CRNA's are awesome only a select few nurses can even go to Crna school and they work under anesthesiologists every step of the way. They work in hospitals as well so you may think it is a anesthesiolgist but it is really a CRNA. mine was awesome and did great. I was not sick at all coming out of surgery and spent lots of time with me before hand learning me and explaining everything. Dr. jimerson is the head of Surgery at Emory hospital which is across the street So you are in good hands. I hope this helps happy searching!

This is just my experience I thought I would share I am in no way telling anyone who they should go to. It is each of our individual decisions.

I had the same experience with Dr, Jimmerson...and decided against him because of his attitude. He acts like he is disengaged. I have failed to blog, as I didn't know if it was just my experience.

Anyway, I typed these very detailed notes to take to my consult, so that I would not forget anything and I'm just anal like that.(lol) I had a copy for him along with previous surgery notes for him to look at. He shook his head and threw the information to the side and had this look on his face like ...I'm not reading this. I could go on , but the last straw for me was when I was in the middle of trying to explain what I wanted....butt naked....I might add....he signed on the computer and started writing up the quote, with his back to me. I looked at him like how rude and I think he knew I would not be back.

Gain, had surgery from him and she was taken to ICU/emergency after the surgery and needed a blood transfusion. I have not seen her on for awhile. So I'm not certain, how she is now. I think I remember reading that she was ok with her results, but i may be wrong. Not speaking for her, but u may want to go back and read her posts.

I just didn't feel comfortable with him. I vowed never to go to Mexico, but Im not sure who now to go to in the US. Suggestions????

Im so sorry you had to go through this. I dont believe one can ever be too prepared for this surgery and we deserve doctors who will listen to our concerns. What he did was rude and unprofessional. I think Dr Jimerson knows he is the best butt doctor in Atlanta and assumes he knows what to do to each patient so he doesnt need to take the time to listen to us because hes heard it all before.

And yes I remember gain30's expereince. She had pulmonary embolism. She seemed satisfied with her results at first, but she doesnt log on much anymore so i dont know how she feels now. I hope everything is ok with her.

@meli thank you for sharing your experience. I am still undecided about who I will be booking with but you and a few other ladies have shared positive reviews with me and its making me lean towards Jimerson. Mainly for the reason that I want to recover at home and not sit on a long flight post op.

I will keep you ladies updated with my journey!

@Atlprincess: Most doctors will encounter several lawsuits over the course of their careers, however this doesnt mean that they were found guilty. You or I can accuse a doctor and file a lawsuit and this adds to the number of lawsuits he or she has. Also you can go to any state's professional licensing board to check out disciplinary actions taken against any physician or any other licensed professional for that matter. For Georgia just google Georgia composite board, When you get to the site you should find something that says look up provider and then type in the name. This will list any actions that have been taken against the provider. I hope this helps!

Thanks Upgradme! Congrats on your WLS I know you are sooo happy! ATL Princess recovery is going well my stomach is so swollen from my tt and all the back and flanks lipo I had so I am kind of bummed about it and that is the reason I have no pics posted. The bootay is still round and the size I wanted I was not going for a Donk just a little J Lo or Kim K. so that is what he gave me. It has nice projection and when my tt swell hell goes I will post pics. I was so little in the waist the first 2 days but also so out of it that I did not take any pics oh well.

Dr. J has no disciplanary actions on his license when I checked. And yes a doc can be named in any lawsuit I am a nurse and could be named if I was in the room. If a patient asks I would have to say yes so just always research.

Good Luck I heard Dr. S is awesome as well so whoever you go with you will do fine. Thanks again ladies now back to lie on my side which is driving me nuts as well! LOL

Hi ladies Garment is included not meds. There is a pharmacy across the street from them meds should be a little over 300.00 depending on how many pain meds you are given. If you go to CVS your meds will be double. Good Luck!

Well, well, I'm so disappointed in Dr J.. Great staff, but it's all about the money! I've had the butt (fat grafting) augmentation and it's really only lasted for 1 1/2 yrs. So, I went back and he wanted another $12,000.00 from me, after the first one didn't last and there was no mention of a possible second surgery till now. Not trying to discourage anymore, but just do your homework and check out blogs like this. Be careful of Photoshop photos and remember, if the fat is not placed properly and it dies, (not 30% fat lose- more like 70%) then your flat butt will re-appear! :) Second time around, it would be IMPLANTS... which most Doctors will discourage you with the fear of infection. It's less profitable, cause you won't need several procedures. I hope I've helped sled some light on this situation.... Wow, still can't get over your quote of $7700.00, dang, he REALLY DID ME IN..... I still have (loan) $4600.00 hanging over my flat a$$!
