Round vs. Tear drop butt implants

Round vs. Tear drop butt implants

Postby hotgyal » Thu Aug 07, 2008 3:58 pm

Hello all,

Has anyone had tear drop implants for a long period of time? I am considering tear drop implants b/c i don't have very much butt in the middle or bottom part of my butt, therefore thought tear drop could help build volumn gradually...I thought if I get the round implants, they will only give me top projection.

Upon discussing this with my Dr. (who is Dr. Gutierrez) he advised that tear drop implants are more likely to shift...has anyone had tear drop implants for a couple of years? Has there been any shifting or movement with the implants?

Thanks!

Hello,

I had the same dilemma with deciding which type of implant to go with. Dr Fuentes informed me the difference between the two: Round is for someone who wants a lot of projection. As with the anatomical is to fill and add the shape of the existing behind.

All implants have risk of shifting. However, if its placed within the muscle it will lower the risk of this happening.

I also heard from another patient that if a round implant shifts, the distortion won't be as noticeable as it would be with another shape.

Based on my desire to have a slighty fuller behind (was not interested in lots of projection), Dr Fuentes recommended the anatomical shaped implant. It gave me a shapley curvy buttocks suited for my body frame.

Not an implant girl, I had fg, but I looove the teardrop shape, its so natural and sexy and really good on girls with slimmer body types.

Hi hotgyal.

My 1st set of implants were 550cc tear drop/anatomical. They did look and feel very natural. They gave me roundness mostly in the center of my butt. I felt they just did not give me the projection I was looking for.

I later upgraded to 710cc round. They also look and feel very natural....plus they gave me the projection I wanted.... :D

Good luck with your procedure.

I have round implants, and I love the projection. I think it all comes down to what you what as the outcome. Look for pix of models that have the butt that you want, and present them to the surgeon to see what he advices .

One thing though, anatomical implants can rotate, and show a distorted shape. However, I think Silimed just made a new type of anatomical implant with the technology of adhering to the muscle so that they don't rotate. I'll try to find the info or a link on that.
