this is the poster formerly known as Angel.(hehe)
I would like to first acknowledge Dra Yily De Los Santos, her staff and the caretakers at Spamedicaljm. I believe that the aftercare aided in my speedy recovery.
I am 5'5 ;155 lbs

I have stalked and lurked on this page for about 2 years. I have bounced around so many different doctors. I started looking overseas, then decided it would be safer in the USA.
I have done several consults in my state and for some reason, I did not like the shape given to women for the price.
I was locked on Yily when I saw the waists given to patients on her site and from pics a poster posted on mmh.
I was quoted 2,900 for Lipo and FG
Had an issue with payment, because Yily provides her chase account information, but she does take western union, I believe she is now working on a paypal
She does not speak a lot of English, but her assistant does. If you are unable to reach her, call her cell phone and she will have her assistant contact you.
Some post op supplies I purchased:
antibacterial soap (dial)
I started taking iron pills and multi vitamins 2 weeks prior to surgery
and Anrica Montana 2 days before surgery
Arriving to SDQ ( dominican republic)
I arrived at the airport, make sure you have some cash on hand, you have to pay a 10 dollar tax to enter the country.
After I got my bag, I was greeted by Jacquline and her driver.
The recovery house is beautiful, the rooms are upstairs (not cool after surgery)
Each room is air conditioned, wifi, and flat screens with cable. You do have several american channels but very little. The menu is pretty much set, it is very hard to deviate from the menu.
SX day: The next day I was taken to CIPLA at 7 am
I was taken to my room. I settled in and then it was time to have my blood drawn and ekg. Most of the nurses do not speak english. Then I met Dr Yily and she is beautiful. I didnt even get a chance to pull out my wish pic. Actually, you can just point to her, she has a small wait and big butt...lol.I asked her how long this would take and she said only 1h and a half. Time now 830am After she marked me for surgery, I went to the lobby to sign my paperwork and was told I was all set as far as my results for surgery. They do take credit card for payment. I do suggest you set a limit on the card, unless you have a peso to us convertor handy. I owed 2,400 but they took out 2,800. I was upset at first but circumstances came about that I will discuss in a second.
I go to my room, take a blue pill, put on my scrubs and it was time to go downstairs. They put the iv in my arm and I was out like a lightbulb.
Surgey:I woke up, back in my room.I was completely numb.time: 530pm. The tv was on CSI. My arms hurt , but I wanted to pull back the sheets. When I did, it looked like a massacre. There was blood all over my faja and underneath my sheets. I went right back to sleep. I woke up and I was hot, my head didnt hurt but the nurse said I had a fever. Another nurse came that spoke some english and stated i would need a blood transfusion. The transfusion is for 200 dollars. 4 packs and I would need it right away.
Mind you I am still numb, but my arms are not. Blood transfusion does not feel like saline. Or maybe its in my head seeing blood go into my body but that was a mind fu$$ while on meds.
The next day......the worst. I felt everything. No amount of medication can take away the sore feeling. There is pain only when you move, laugh, sneeze, turn your head. So yes your not in pain, as long as you dont move. With everything going on, I ended up leaving to go to the recovery house later in the evening. Also note I had a catheter in my Vajaja. I have seen Yily and she said I was one of strongest patients, she put 950 ccs in each cheeck, and gave me my meds. I had like a long list of medication : cost 250 ( now im ok with the 2,800 they took out) When it was time to go they decided to clean me up. This will be the first time I see my body. I wanted to cry.
My stomach was bigger than when I got there, but full of fluid and my butt look like it started in the middle of my back. I got new faja and it was soooo tight , it didnt make any sense. The first time standing up is scary, but it actually feels better to stand than lay down.
I got to the recovery house, sad, depressed. I had 2 care takers, 1 at night and one during the day. They were great, they washed and helped me to the bathroom everyday. I had to take my faja off everynight. There was no way I could sleep in it, I had headaches, and was completely uncomfortable. During the day my body would fill up with fluid. The next night Yily came to see me and drained my stomach and back , then 2 days later after another drain from Yily, which I may add, hurts because its a needle and a long syringe. She is poking you and pushing the fluid out of your sore body. Yily decides to put me in a tigher garment. This is sized xs. I came there a m/l...xs is extreme. After Yily left another young woman came to the recovery house. She was from the states she had lipo f/g and implants. She looked great. She went to Dr Hilario Durnan. Which was funny because I have gotten a quote from her (3,000) but I chose not to go to her , because I couldnt find anymore reviews on her except one. All I can say is this lady looked good and was recovering very well. After I spoke with her I felt something in my vajaja, I knew I didnt have underwear on. I hunched to my room, took off my pants, and saw that my stuff has swollen to the size of a baseball mit. That was the last straw I broke down. I cried for like 3 days after that. That day I had a massage
done and the faja removed . Yily came and I got another drain. She wanted me to put the faja on which I did, but as soon as she left I took it off. I realized I need a faja so I would stop getting filled up with fluid , but not so small it decides to jump ship to my genital area. So I took a trip to the mall and got a medium.I tried to convince Yily, but she wanted me in a xs, and im sure there is a method to the maddness, but I wasnt signing up for that experiment. Ive only had ultrasonic massages at the recovery house. Which cost 25 each massage.
The recovery house does not take credit card. So have cash on hand or western union it to yourself. The house is 90 dollars a day.
Side story: One day I had to go to Yilys to be drained and there 2 other post op patients waiting to see her. One of them I know was there to be drained.
The other lady spoke a but of english . So yily wanted to assure me that everything happening was normal, and that I am ok, and if I had any questions. The lady went to tell me her experience and said she had about 40 lbs of stomach on her. She was an older woman, that had my curvy shape. It was then, she told Yily to show me her pre op pics. My jaw dropped, she was the size of 2 human beings. It was a major diffrence
Ok we are almost done.
After I put on my medium faja, I have very little fluid that needs to be drained. I found a lady that does lympathic drainage massages. And let me tell yall...she is gentle and it makes a huge difference. She explained that when ou get lipo, the dr is stabbing you on the inside, then you body scars
up inside of you. So the fluid is trapped and you need these massages to show the fluid the right passage to take. Not sure if this is scientifically proven, but it made sense , and I am loving the results. If you live by Quincy MA, send me a pm and ill give you her info. I suggest looking in the chinatown areas in your state for a reasonably priced masseuse
Things to remeber:
Call your bank and let them know you will be in another country and any limits you want to set
Buy locks for your bags, I didnt have anything stolen, but you never know
let the recovery house know of any diet
or anything you want in advance
get a currency converter and translator on your phone
get a calling card
get pre lab work
Regardless what I went through, no 2 people have the same recovery. The lady I met at the recovery house, had a mini tuck before and had children also. She smoked and had occasional drinks. She was not swollen and looked great.
Me, I went through everyones horrible experience I have read on mmh. I dont have kids and never had sx. Dont smoke and rarely drink
I dont forsee a round 2 in the future, but I do love my current results.
Ladies, please dont take this lightly, and if I did pre lab work and noticed my levels, maybe things would have been different, maybe not
I have another week off from work, so I try to post pics up this week.~my body is my temple
