Yily - Deposit - Communication

I have it figured out ladies!! I spoke to a very knowledgeable representative at Chase Bank and he explained it very clearly to me, here what you have to do.

Go into your branch, and give them this translated information:

Intermediate bank: JP MORGAN CHASE BANK. ABA (routing #): 021000021. SWIFT #: CHASUS33,.

Beneficiary bank: SCOTIA BANK - DOMINICAN REPUBLIC. SWIFT #: NOSCDOSD. Account #: 001058909

FOR FUTHER CREDIT TO: Beneficiary client name: YILY DE LOS SANTOS. Account #: 70755-125623

So what does this mean? JP Morgan is an intermediate bank that sends monies to international banks. Think of them as the mail sorting center. The main bank that she deals with is Scotia Bank in the DR, the swift #s are the bank's individual contact code, no other bank in the world will have that #.

So, go into YOUR branch, ask to make a wire transfer, if the person at the counter isn't versed in complicated wire transfers then ask to speak to a manager, they will know for sure.

I'm sending mine today, leaving shortly :) Hope this helps! I'm going to send the translated version to the doctor so that she can use it for her English speaking clients from now on.

Hope this helps!

I just thought about something that I know a bunch of doctors in NYC do and I also believe Dr. Pantoja does it. You ladies should suggest to Dr. Yily that she get a PayPal account. And if all of you suggest it I'm sure she or her assistant will look into it. It would make things so much easier for you ladies.

Hi ladies!

I have been chatting with Yily through e-mails and explained the deposit problems. She said that she's going to look into opening a paypal account this weekend :) I also spoke to her secretary about the slow communication, and I will speak to her directly about it. She is very open to suggestions and is very professional! I'm really looking forward to the next 43 days flying by so that I can meet my sculpture hahaha.

No ladies, do this instead! I sent my deposit already over a week ago. You can send yous through western union. Western union has a website, and they allow you to be able to send money abroad the same way you can in a physical location. Plus their fee is way cheaper than doing a wire transfer to an account abroad. I have Chase bank and they wanted to charge me $45 to do a wire transfer because it's an international account.

I went to WesternUnion.com and I created an account. I logged I with my username and password. I went the part of the website that lets you send money. I clicked it and selected the county, Dominican Republic. It asked me if I wanted to send it in Dominican Pesos or Dollars. I selected dollars to make things easier since pesos would be more complicated with the currency exchange, etc (1 USD = 30 something Pesos) It will then ask you the name of the recipient. I entered her full name as instructed by her: YILY DE LOS SANTOS ROSARIO. Then you enter your debit or checking account information and how fast you want for the recipient to receive the money and hit send. It's so easy! Took me less than 5 minutes from start to finish. You don't have to go out of your way to find a Western Union if you don't have access to one and it's super safe and secure most of all! You will get a confirmation number. I suggest save this page! Print it and keep it for your records. It's a long number. I believe it's called an MTCN number.

I also sent my confirmation to her in an attachment in the email as proof. While you are sending the money you can choose the option that you can receive another email that let's you know once she picks it up that way you are notified. This option gave me sooo much peace of mind and put me at ease.

I called Teresa who is super helpful by the way, and told her I had pizzzaiddd and to sign me uppppp! I wish I would have thought of sending my deposit this way before since I used to send money to my dad who lives in DR.

I kind of am lol. I leave Nov 16 alone to DR, my mother-in-law is meeting me there. She'll be leaving 6 days before me though, so I'll be alone after that.
