Acoustic Wave Therapy???

Postby loveandjoy » Mon Jul 23, 2007 8:10 am

Well, I wish I had some awesome news, but nothing really new to report. I had my last of my second round of treatments last week. That is 16 treatments total (costing $1800 total) and I see a minor difference, but certainly not $1800 worth. It is pretty bad when even the girls that work for the doctor review the pics and they even say straight up that they cannot see much of a difference. Of course, they keep saying that it may take a while after the treatments end, and of course I will keep you posted, but I will not be purchasing any additional treatments. I work out 4 times a week for an hour each, eat healthy and am not overweight so I am not sure what more I could have done. Thanks for your support.

Acoustic Wave Therapy

Postby josiedg » Mon May 19, 2008 12:09 pm

Hi... does anyone have any feedback to report on Acoustic Wave Therapy? What are your thoughts and feelings about it? Did it work? What are your long term results, does it last? Do you have to keep going? Any testimonials, good, bad and ugly, are greatly appreciated! I go for my first session tomorrow and would like to know what to expect. Thanks!

Hello everyone. I just wanted to share my experience with Velashape. I just started treatment and bought a package of 6 sessions for 1500. Not cheap- I know but I am hopefull. I too was told that if I exercise and drink plenty of water (which I do regualary anyway) that I would see better results. Ive only had 2 treatments and dont really see an improvement as of yet-but again I know this is only in the beginning stages. Like everyone on here I feel your PAIN. Also, I want to add is that I had to purchase an additional cream to put on my legs twice a day to get better results. The price for this was about 47.00. Bottom line is I dont expect miracles, but would love to see at least 50 percent or more improvement with my cellulite. Lastly, I am 5-1 and 105 pounds and YES I do have cellulite. I willl get my 3rd treatment done in a few days and they are suppose to take pictures! NOt looking forward to that but maybe I can see some results. Will keep you posted and keep the faith!!

Okay, here I am again. Just wanted to check in and tell you that I just received my 3rd treatment for Velashape. I really dont see an improvement as of yet and I hope by the 4th treatment I see some change. The women who had worked on me for the first couple of sessions went on maturnity leave and they had to scramble and get someone else because the women who was suppose to take her place didnt work out - just my luck!! My frusteration came about because I almost had to wait 2 1/2 weeks between sessions. They told me that wouldnt make a difference with the newer machines. I hope they are right. Also, sometimes when you have this precedure you can get redness and black and blue. I bruise easily anyhow and they also told me that drinking caffiene can contribute to this. On my left leg on the side I am all bruised. I know this eventually go away but mainly I am concerned about results. I have 3 treatments left and they did take pictures again (although I didnt see the before and after yet). I will keep you posted to let you know if I had any progress. I can tell you that if I dont see any progress I will not buy into any more packages.

I also am in the market for buying a machine. Who is the maker? I know it was made in Sweden. Another machine that is the same thing is also called "Tri-Phasic Resonator. Thanks.

Glad to find this forum. I did purchase a package of AWT from Dr. Johnson's office. I went for several sessions and used the cream... for a long time I thought it was not going to ever work - exceeding the original package. It did take awhile but I did see great results - no cellulite and was very happy. My question is has anyone had the same results for getting rid of cellulite with the thermage? It is very expensive, but since the clinic closed in Grapevine and has no weekend hours - I cannot continue AWT. Does thermage work? It is very frustrating researching treatments for cellulite because I know AWT worked and so many people say nothing works. The sessions btw have to be longer and at the most intense setting to work.

Here's my body type - early 30's, constantly workout, great shape, eat right... hail damage on upper thigh and lower butt... Hate that they moved, hate that no one knows this works... think it should be less expensive because it is an on-going process...

If you have tried thermage for cellulite or velvasmooth I'd like to hear your feedback.
