Has anyone tried Velasmooth?

Lipo VS Velasmooth

Postby jannamay » Wed Apr 05, 2006 2:02 pm

I am 26 and in very good shape but I have always had cellulite and extra fat in my thighs and butt. I am considering lipo and all of the other alternatives. Though I am extremely scared of having surgery. Would anyone recommend Velasmooth over Lipo or should I try to get over my fear and have the surgery?

Lipo will make your cellulite worse for sure!

Going for Velasmooth Consult

Postby buggy » Mon Feb 19, 2007 11:15 am

Hi everyone. I am going for a Velasmooth consult next weekend. (Still recovering from my BA/BL on 2/2) I was quoted 20 sessions over 10 weeks for around $2,200. That's for thighs and butt. I'll keep you all posted. I'm also looking into another laser, Acoustic Wave. All these lasers are so confusing!!! I see my PS tonight on the BL surgery and pick his brains....Buggy

Also, I am interested in smart lipo for chin and under arms, here that works best on small areas....So confusing, what's a girl to do?? I'm thinking I'll just keep on exercising for another 6 months and see how all these new treatments shake out. Look what a dissappointment Thermage was to many - thousands spent for little results!

I'll be very interested to hear how it goes. I've been contemplating Velasmooth since it came out and I still don't know if I want to take a chance og wasting the money or not. My feeling is that if it was so great, more people would be doing it and there would be more providers offering it.

My PS and my Dermatologist both advised against it. They said it's a waste of money. They both agreed that you may find some temporary, short-term results but the results won't last and to think that a monthly follow-up visit would maintain the results is wishful thinking.

I am skeptical but would love to hear from someone who has great results so please do share your experience...If it works for you, I may just give it a try.

Thanks for the new post!

I thought id share my velasmooth experience with you. Im sorry to be the bearer of bad news but after spending over 3000 dollars on 10 treatments i saw very very little improvement if any at all. Personally it didnt work for me and i have yet to find anyone in person who it did work for. I have been battling cellulite for a number of years now and nothing has worked for me so far. My last attempt will probably be subcision. After vela didnt work for the clinic in Encino who administered my treatments just ignored my complaints completely and preferred to sweep me under the rug so to speak instead of addressing the problem. Yea, that was ver professional of them.

I'm starting Velasmooth this Saturday. Paying $2,000 for 10 treatments on my butt and outer thighs. They only do very specific areas. I have tried many other cellulite treatments and am hoping this is the charm! The woman who does treatments said she saw improvements in many by the 3rd or 4th treatment.......I'll keep you all posted on whwther it works. Best of luck to all!! Pati

Vellasmooth for stretch marks

Postby skier58 » Wed Mar 07, 2007 11:38 am

Has anyone tried Vellasmooth for stretch marks?

I am considering having SmartLipo done on my U/L abs. The thought here is that my lax skin/small area of stretch marks will improve with just the laser lipo. However, the dr. also offered his Vellasmooth as an option in case I still need more work done in that area. He says to wait to see how things look with the laser lipo.

If anyone has used Vellasmooth for something similiar, I'd like to hear from you.

I just started velosmooth treatments, and i wish I found this site before. God, so dissapointing. I had to pay only 1000 for 12 treatments, but why bother if it does not help? A 1000 is still a lot of money, especially with the pain that goes with it. Well, I only had 2 treatments. They measured me and took pictures. Will see what happenes

velasmooth

After much research,I decided to give velasmooth a shot.It has not worked for me.I just finished my 16th treatment on thighs and behind. There has been no noticiable improvement.I wasted 2400 dollars. It was not only uncomfortable, but at times it really hurt.

I just finished my 10th treatment - saw VERY LITTLE RESULTS. Don't waste your money. Now they are saying you results with 16 treatments - another $800.

What a rip off

I was told that you needed 16 treatments.Well I had 17 and there was NO DIFFERENCE.I am so disgusted. I asked the center prior to my consult if it was successful.Of course they said yes.I asked if there was anyone that they treated that didn't get results.Of course they said no. I asked the technician these same questions and she answered the same. They took initial pictures, but didn't even bother with final ones. What does that tell you?

velasmooth

Postby tripleday » Sat Jun 16, 2007 9:25 am

I have had 2 velasmooth treatments so far. I have paid for 6, and at the end of the 6, they will review my progress and decide if I need 6 more. Even after 2 sessions, I see a difference, HOWEVER, it isn't a GOOD difference-- it looks worse to me. The only consolation is that I can tell things have "moved around" leading me to believe that it just might work. I am having the treatment on my butt and back of thighs. I am the same as many of you, I am thin and somewhat toned but have had this cellulite problem for years, dating back to my teens when I was skinny as could be. I have tried working out for years, doing all kinds of workout routines and nothing ever helped. I am in my 40's now.
I am hoping that I will have good end results because if I dont', I feel there isn't anything left for me to do. I have always taken good care of my body but I refuse to go around with cellulite showing thru my clothes, which means BIG LONG SHIRTS forever. I am hoping someone out there will tell me to hang in there..... did anyone else think they looked worse after a couple of treatments???? thanks..

I didn't look any worse, but I didn't look any better either.I was told that I might even get a little "lift" because of the treatments...sounds great, but that didn't happen either.I noticed that some posters to this board said that results depend on the technician, quality of the machine etc.My technician was certified in the technique( from syneron),used the vela smooth spray(I saw the bottle), maintained constant contact with the skin, and the machine was a velasmooth.I had zero improvement. I was extremly disappointed and told her so. She was very nice and really tried so I have nothing against her or her technique. It just didn't work for me.I sure hope you have better results.I would like to think that there are more than a few people that got their moneys worth.

Velasmooth results

Postby alliered » Mon Jul 09, 2007 7:23 pm

I've had six treatments and I can tell that my legs are getting smaller, however my cellulite is looking worse. I read where some of you have the same experience. Has anyone had their cellulite go from worse to better?
