Velashape?

Velashape?

Postby index1999 » Mon Jan 07, 2008 6:21 pm

I have seen this several times on our local news and even Good Morning America, but I can't find any reviews of it on the internet. Has anyone else seen or researched this? I have had Velasmooth with no results as most mention here, but this is supposed to be much different with a recommended 4 treatments, not 15-20+. The results I have seen of before and afters are very impressive, but I would still like to know more first. Thanks in advance!

Velashape

Postby booboo » Thu Mar 06, 2008 11:43 am

I live in KC. I'm a skinny person but I have this loose fatty cellulite on my thighs and stomach...pretty much because I've been lax in my work outs. I had my first treatment of Velashape on my inner/top thighs and also my stomach. The before and after pictures and videos were enough to make me decide to do this. My doctor charges $250 per area. I will have a total of four treatments. I didn't take any before pictures, but I will let you know how I feel it turned out when I'm finished (my last treatment will be March 25)....I do know that diet and exercise are very important to maintain any positive changes in my body. I'm already eat a healthy vegetarian diet and try to stay away from dairy. (Yes, I do get proper protein from vegetable sources.) We'll see! I hope it works.... Again, I'll let you know. :)

Just completed 3rd Velashape treatment

Postby booboo » Mon Mar 24, 2008 12:54 pm

Yes, I just completed my third treatment on thighs and stomach. Other than the slight bruising from the treatment, I haven't seen any results. My doctor told me I should wait a couple of months. Sometimes the effect can result over a period of time. If I see a change within the next month or so, I will go back for my final treatment. If I don't see any results, well, I just wasted my money. At this point, it has done nothing for me. I will however check back in a month or two.

Thanks for keeping us posted. Since it's been about a month, are you seeing any results at this point?

No I haven't seen a change. I can tell you that I just decided to eat huge rich green salads every day for lunch and stopped eating bad things all together (pizza, pasta....pasta is not bad but it does pile on the calories you know), I will eat fish but nothing fried, no dairy whatsoever, no dessert, pretty much just a good old dark leafy salad with vegetables (with no fat, low cal dressing) and baked fish flavored with a little sea salt and pepper or nuts and beans. I have seen much more difference since I've changed my diet. I really don't think it's the Velashape. I think it's my change in eating habits. Let's just say, I won't go back for the fourth treatment.

I was thinking about Velashape too. I am so glad that I found this website. I have been reading tons of information on the internet about cellulite, as I am sure all of you have. It is very disappointing to read all the information saying that you can not get rid of cellulite. I am 5 ft and weigh 101 lbs and have cellulite on my arms. I am so depresssed because it is summer and don't feel comfortable wearing tank tops and real short sleeve shirts. I didn't have it last year and trying everything to get rid of it. I am going to the gym and taking a weight class 2-3 times a week and been walking a lot. I hope this will at least help reduce the cellulite if it can't completely get rid of it.

I think that's a good idea. And like my previous post said, watch what you eat. I've lost more from cutting out the bad stuff in my diet than anything combined. Velashape just didn't work for me. I had it on my thighs and stomach. Cellulite is still there  but I am losing inches around my waist (and I'm 5'6" - 120 lbs.) so I'm very slender anyway.

Velashape

Postby laura3606 » Fri Jun 06, 2008 6:02 am

After complaining about cellulite and fat pockets on my butt for years, I heard about Velashape from a coworker. She said she had great results. I didnt notice much difference after the first 2 tx in fat but the cellulite was decreased on the backs of my thighs. I just had my 3rd tx and my butt does look a lot better. I'm going for a series of 6-8. Will  keep you posted.

Hi,

I have just finished velasmooth. 10 times I went and I see results!! They also said to me that the best results are seen around 3 weeks after you finish your last session. I am a size 2 but I have some sort of pocket of fat under my butt :D and I can't get rid of it, even if I diet. I am from Europe, so I don't know if this makes any sense- it's like a second mini butt- LOL. I also have cellulite but that pocket bothers me the most. It has decreased with vella- although I think it will never go completely away. I am not willing to have lipo in any way. Any suggestions? I hope you will know what I am talking about- in my language there is a term for this, but I haven't found it in English.
I would recommend vella, but only if you will go multiple times- I think once or twice is not enough- at least it wasn't for me.

I was told that it would take no more than 3 or 4 treatments. My doctor told me if I hadn't seen any results after the third treatment and after waiting a couple of months, I should stop taking it since it wasn't working for me.

Cellulite

Postby Jennifer8055 » Fri Jun 13, 2008 12:05 pm

Hi,
I used to have pretty bad cellulite which only got worse after I get pregnant. I had it mostly around my inner thighs and bottom and a bit on my tummy as well. I tried eating more healthy food and did a lot of exercise as well which friends and family members recommended but my skin was still lumpy and floppy. I then recently read an article by a lady who claimed to have got rid of her cellulite by using a particular anti cellulite cream. I tried it and it worked really well. Within a couple of weeks my skin had improved so much and I managed to get rid of my cellulite completely. Really good stuff. You can read more about the lady's article at the link below:

Velashape

Just a note that velashape does work but is dependant on who does the treatment and how experienced they are. Always ask what experience they have and if they have before and after pictures that you can look at so you can make an informed decision about whether you want to go ahead and have it done. If they are a good place then they will have this information available.

Velashape

Postby booboo » Wed Aug 13, 2008 5:38 pm

Honestly, I think it may work for some, but not everyone.

My treatment was performed by a medical doctor who has done extra training in Dermatology and is Board Certified in Internal Medicine. He is a member of the American Society for Laser Medicine and Surgery and is also a member of the American College of Physicians. His specialty is laser treatments. He has been a physician for over 20 years.

I'm just saying Velashape did not work for me.
