Question about cheek implants?

Question about cheek implants?

Postby iluvmusic » Thu Oct 30, 2008 6:24 am

I'm 20 years old and I've been wanting to get cheek implants for quite some time now. Mine are, well, not flat, but barely noticeable and anytime I have pictures of me around, my cheeks just aren't there. Also, I remember hearing that some cheek implants (malar) can make your eyes look smaller. Is that true? My eyes appear to be a teeny bit droopy (since I'm 1/2 Italian), but it makes me wonder if that's true (I mean, they're really close). And also, has anyone had cheek implants? If so, what was it like?

Here's my pic:

Cheek Implants

Postby suzy222 » Wed Apr 22, 2009 8:51 pm

You don't want cheek implants to show. You don't want everyone who sees you to think, "Oh, she has cheek implants."

The best cheek implants are not visible and no one knows you have them. The improvement is subtle, not dramatic.

Don't get implants that are too big. Cher has huge cheekbone implants and she looks like she has a big fat chicken cutlet stuffed in each cheek. You do not want that look.

Another reason you don't want big fat cheek implants is that as you age, your face looses volume and the implants can stick out and make you look older unless you get your skin plumped up regularly.

P.S. I have cheek implants that are small & no one can tell I have them. It just adds a little dimension to my flat face. I can tell from before/after pics that I look better but there's no way to tell it's because of cheek implants. Even when I tell dentists that I have them (so they don't pierce the pocket with a needle), they say they look so natural, they would never know.

Don't fall for the huge hollwood implants -- they are too big and look very strange outside of Hollywood. By the way, you can also get your cheekbones plumped with Sculptra and that looks terrific. If you have Sculptra, you can see how you like your cheekbones fuller and avoid surgery and a permanent change.

i suggest you get implant at the age of 30-35 wherein you'll definitely be needing it already. 20 is too young to go through this procedure, your face will still change a few years from. if you get it now, your face will sag by the time you reach 30+.
