Did my first TCA 15% at home...

Yes, Finally I am peeling...it took a while...Looking forward to the peeling ending. I have a little more in bottle so will do rest of bottle in 2 weeks, and then go stronger next full peel. How many times can I keep peeling? every 3 weeks until summer?

I honestly don't know how many of these you can do, time and again. I think for the lesser TCA peels you could probably do as many as you want to reach your desired results, although personally I would give it a month. To let your skin completely heal and re build takes at least that long.

If you did a Jessner first, you would get a much stronger outcome, if you wanted to try that next time. But if you are happy with the way things went this time, that's great too. It is is definitely a good peel...(I just get greedy, which is not always a good thing. ;))

Sounds great Jen!

The Jessners goes on with the TCA. It is a combo peel, and you would put it on, wait 5 minutes, and then do the first layer TCA. Some people do multiple layers of Jessner first, but I've never done that and not sure why they do...

It does really intensify the peel, so probably a good idea to do the 18% without it first and see how your face reacts to that.

Hi Annie & Gabby,

I did my 18% TCA this week, wow, did I frost on my checks, but if you frost some areas and not others, do you wait until you frost everywhere before you neutralize ? I was in pain so I took it off in 3 minutes. Still not peeling yet, I take a long time to peel. I think I will do 2 more before summer hits, its 86 today...not much of a winter. But I did forget to do the alcohol before hand, next time. :D

That's great on the frost! TCA is self neutralizing (and I think by the 5-8 minute mark), and you don't have to neutralize it. I just put moisturizer on it (and that's what they did when I had it done at the office).

However, if you can't stand the pain and want to rinse/wash earlier, it will dilute it and will bring relief.

If you want to do a second layer to hit the areas that have not frosted, you could do that around the 5 minute marker, but you should give it that long in case they eventually frost.

Using the alcohol and especially the acetone will really give you a much more even frost, so next time you will probably see an improvement.

Plus I think with each additional peel we frost earlier/better. The skin "takes" to it quicker.

It really helps me to use a blow dryer on cool setting if it hurts, and the pain subsides pretty quickly. Usually I have no pain at the 5 minute mark, but it comes back with the second layer.

This is my experience anyway, as we are all so different.

Thanks for the update Jen. It is fun hearing how you are doing. Let us know how the peeling goes.

Not much of a winter here either. I will probably stop any peels mid April, as the sun is just so intense after that.

I just got botox in my neck for the first time yesterday, didnt even know they did that until 2 months ago...It was weird getting the needle in the neck. Will report back in 2 weeks on the results. Will do last TCA peel in April ....I am also using this peptide serum that works great on wrinkles...,.Iove MMH and all the info I have gotten over the years.... :D and a big shout out to Annie who is always there for you..... =D>

Hi Jen, and thank you so much for the kind words! Where on the neck did you get the Botox? I didnt know about that either! I wonder what movements it stops us from making? Did it hurt in the neck?

I am so glad you had such good results from the TCA. My last one will be in April as well. Much too hot and bright after that in both FL and AZ! Will start up again mid Sept.

What peptide serum? I started copper peptides a couple months ago and so far love them. Originally was just to help my peels heal faster, but then I moved on to using on the whole body. Are you noticing improvement?

The peels are fun aren't they? Addicting!

Annie, its the peptide serum from MUAC? I think thats the name, where I get my peels from. SO far the botox in the neck is not helping much, my neck has those wrinkles where the Adams apple in men are. I hate it.. any other suggestions other than face lift would be welcome..where do you get your serum? and yes, peels are addicting...lol...

How's it going with the peel? I did just my lower face last week (had BA surgery so was housebound anyway so it was perfect), and I am finally juts now where no more peeling. What stage are you in?

I am going to do one more peel next month, as I have three weddings between May and June, so want to do one last one before hitting the summer!

Hi Annie,

Hope your BA surgery went well....

Here is a question for you or Gabby...my friend is coming over for a peel, but I dont have a light peel, I only have 18% left. How can I dilute it or make it less intensive? Shes coming over tomorrow so hope I get a quick response. Also, she has oily skin...

Im finally done peeling for now. Also, I read you need ALOT of Botox in the neck for the neck bands. I only got $300 worth so need to go back and I read that peels are terrible for the neck bands, that it makes it look worse since they are muscles not wrinkles....

Annie, my bb looks so good now since I had those shots, that is amazing stuff.. 8)

That one will be Gabi. She knows how to dilute and I have no idea what to do with that! Maybe you could try PMing her in case she logs on but doesn't visit the forum?

I have had good luck with skin texture on my neck, but no, the chemical peels won't help really with the bands, although I don't know why they would make them worse? Like my forehead has lines that I use Botox for but my peels help the overall skin texture still, therefore improving the look of my neck.

I am so glad you are loving your BB now! That's great news Jen.

My recovery is going great, thanks! I have another post op tomorrow, and Friday will be one month.

I have one final peel next week, which is mid face. Currently my whole body is in peel state though. Well, arms and legs and tca cross (30% but "cross" method), for deep lip lines.

So after next week's peel, that will be it for me til Fall, other than maybe some more of the cross on the lines, since that is an easy one to deal with and load sunblock on.
