I had read that some folks here use the lactic acid from lotioncrafters as a peel on its own. How long do you let it stay on your skin? I can tolerate the MUAC 40% lactic for 15 minutes... what is safe margin for the higher-percentage lactic?
I would start with maybe 2 min with the 88% pH 0.6 from lotioncrafters. It is very different than a the MUAC 40% at 2.9 pH. Then go from there. It is still a gentle acid compared to glycolic, but it can burn if left on.
I leave the 88% lactic acid on for 3-5 minutes; you do need to be sure to neutralize with baking soda water with the 88% lactic. The one you've been using I believe I've heard is buffered, so the baking soda water isn't needed with that? Just wanted to be sure you know to do this! I love the lactic peels!
