So im going to do a hot towel on my face tonight...just to slough off any crinkly skin ...My chin and sides of my nose were flakey...I think im going to do another one Sunday night...I know 3 days sounds like too much..But if you read the lunch peel info it does say its okay for every day ( i think thats much tho) I will do a single layer...then double layer only spots and deep wrinkles. Meanwhile Im so glad i purchased other in between products...i have retinol moisturizee, retinol serum and AHA..
Thank you Suze, and you as well! Hope you have a beautiful Easter.
I do find the warm wash cloth/towel to help. It really helps especially if you are in the shower and the steam with the warm wash cloth kind of work together.
yeah, there definitely has to be something seriously diluting that peel because a typical 12.5 you could not do it again after 3 days. Still a good peel though! I know many love that line. But, after three days - I mean, OUCH for one thing! I do think that any directions given should be a case by case basis. I mean if you are still peeling I would not put it on and would wait a day or two.
So...i was not peeling at all...i flaked a little around my nose and my chin...but nothing anywhere else...and my skin was back to normal. So i did another round tonight. It stung a little more...which i was glad b/c before it was only on a few spots. I applied w/qtip to my deep lines and spots...then went over whole face w/cotton pad. Gotta more sting for sure. No frost..which im okay with. Good and tight right now. I think I know why you can do this one more often...its mild...BUT you also cant do alot of damage while learning..which is good. For example I put vaseline on my lips b/c last time they burned..but not reall bad...if i had done a 15 i prob would have burned the crap outa them. LOL. So we will See! Had a great Easter weekend ..gorgeous weather in St. Louis...perfect~
Annie, i did the second peel. I went heavy on my brown spots..the 2 under my eyes... My skin is defininitely really dry and rough in those spots...but the rest is just kinda dry...and I never did peel. Im guessing the skin just sloughs off? Right now if i look closely my cheeks look slightly leathery...and under my eyes is really crinkley. I just want it to slough off so i see smooth...using my SPF 30 religiously. I wonder if Im appying to lightly...i barely wet the cotton pad.
I really don't know what to expect with this peel. Do you think the warm wash cloth is helping? I don't do my peel super light, but I don't do them heavy enough that they would drip (did that once...learned my lesson). But right when I put it on it is glossy, and then dries over the course of a couple minutes.
I don't think you are supposed to be having much of an "outward" reaction since they say it is no downtime and that you can do it every three days. But I would probably wait til all these signs are gone before doing it again. That constant "damage" even though controlled, might really not be the best idea to keep up for too long. Even though they say 3 days, we are all so different and maybe on someone else they would not have any outward signs where another does. Like Retin A, I can only use every other day at a very low percentage, where others can use daily at high percentage and have no outward signs of flakes/redness, etc. I am a mess if I use it daily, so had to make adjustments for my own skin, even though it is recommended daily use.
Thx Annie, I do think I need to go a little bit heavier.. Im barely wetting the cotton pad. The flakey spots under my eyes have started turning over...pink underneath..thats a good sign. Im going to wait for all of this dry crinkley stuff sloughs off...and then do a heavier application next week. I do think this is a slow and steady thing. This fall after i damage my skin at the pool (haha) maybe i'll go up to the Gorgeous peel (18pct) by Im fabulous. This is a good learning step...and is having some minimal effect. For the cost and time it takes...well worth it. Definitely better than what i was doing for my skin before..which was practically nothing...just AHA creams. Thx for checking in. What have you been up too. Are you healing well after your last sx?
Lisa, thx so much for posting. Its good to hear from someone using the same product. Your tips are helpful and you answered some questions we had about the strength and results.
Im going to look up the exfoliater now. I did get a sample of the protein serum and used it after this last peel. Love it...may have to purchase also. I really like the Im Fabulous products. Organic and reasonable compared to products at Sephora or PS office. Thx again! Suze
