Mouth sticks out too much...

Mouth sticks out too much...

Postby buckerine11 » Sat Jan 16, 2010 11:04 pm

I feel like my mouth should be relatively flat on the plane of my face, but it sticks out, especially when I stand under a light - in which case it looks like only my mouth is illuminated by the light. Does anyone know what I can do about this? I was thinking that maybe a chin implant may balance out my mouth a bit. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.

It sounds as IF you MIGHT have something called; "Bi-max protrusion" which is something where the bones connected to the teeth angle forward too much. It is something that is in the venue of dental type doctors; orthodonture and maxillo facial surgeons to take a look at for you.

It's not in the venue of an "OcularFacial Cosmetic surgeon".

Gratuitous responses

Postby MissJ521@aol.com » Thu Jan 28, 2010 9:57 am

Excuse me BUT......how does your answer (and others similar to them on board) address the patient's question??? Many of your 'answers' to patients on the open boards resolve to little more than: 'Look at me--I'm an Ocular facial Cosmetic surgeon'; something done not really to help the patient but rather a gratuitous response aimed at interjecting exposure to your practice at every opportune moment.

I have a question for you to answer:

Is an "OcularFacial Cosmetic Surgeon' someone who has extensive training in the EYEBALL but who later gets 'boarded' by the "Board of 'Cosmetic Surgery'" and with that; 'expands' into other areas of the face (and body)?

If so, what is the advantage to a patient wishing to have facial procedures (other than around the eye) or body procedure such as liposuction when they seek out an "OcularFacial COSMETIC Surgeon" who is NEITHER a boarded Facial Plastic Surgeon nor a boarded PS?

Also, WHY, on your website do you refer to yourself as a "Facial Plastic Surgeon"??? Are you a boarded Facial Plastic surgeon?

Answer that.

As a Cosmetic Oculofacial Plastic Surgeon (Speciaizing in Eyelid and Face Rejuvenation), I spend a lot of my consultation time evfaluating facial balance from all angles. When you see someone, it's important that they spend a lot of time with you before you make your decision. Good Luck!
