has anyone had a toe shortening op , if so has it left your toe all floopy and loose

No, in contrast, my toe is short and a bit stiffer. If you haven't already had the surgery, DON'T DO IT! It will alter the biomechanics of your foot and potentially lead to other problems.

Yes, my toes felt floppy until they healed.

However, I'd NEVER recommend this procedure to anyone. My toes are so messed up and I know down the line they will cause more problems.

My feet cramp constantly, and are painful at times...wish I could take that one back.

i have a friend who went the same procedure and it's been a year now since the operation. i haven't heard any complains except far cramps that happens once in a while but the surgeon says it's normal to feel that way sometimes. other than that, i don't see any other problem with her anymore and she's happy with the result. i think there must have been a problem while you're going through the surgery. have you talked to your surgeon yet? please do...
