Why use mineral makeup instead of traditional makeup?

Regular cosmetics and permanent make up

I think mineral makeup is "purer" than other brands of makeup in the sense that it has no preservatives, artificial oils and colors thus it doesn't block your pores as much...think of it as being "organic" lol

I love mineral makeup, just becaue it is so quick and easy and looks flawless. You do have to be careful to not have a heavy hand, as it can feel very heavy as the day goes on, and can cake even more than traditional makeup. Takes come getting used to. At least it did for me!

I also love it for my chest. Just a light dusting and it takes away the permanent redness I have from sun damage. I would never think of putting liquid makeup on my chest.

I don't have much luck using the mineral conceilers. They may cover up temporarily, but don't last (on me) throughout the day.

What I have noticed with the commercials and my friends using mineral makeup is that if you use it you have to use it every day and you have to cover your whole face. I don't like wearing that much makeup, more of a natural look but will play up my eyes or just add some blush. When they (my friends) use mineral makeup they have to do the entire system everyday, and when they want to do an "evening look" or do there make up for a special occasion it never looks that different from there day to day. I like to use make up as an accessory but with mineral makeup it seems that it needs to be a necessity. Just like you put on your shoes before you go out, you have to put on your makeup. For me it doesn't seem practical.
