I want to have a moderate/mid face lift with some tightening under the chin but I am terrified that I might choose the wrong surgeon. Several years ago I had a sliding genioplasty (rather than a chin implant) by a surgeon who appeared to have a solid reputation and vast experience (I had done a lot of research). A few years later I found out that he had been suspended twice and 1-2 years ago lost his license! I recently had consultations with 2 surgeons- both appear to have good reputations. It's nearly impossible to get more detailed information in terms of which PS is the best choice for specifically a face lift versus a nose job versus liposuction, etc. After my last experience I am extremely nervous about who to choose. If anyone has had direct experience (or knows someone) with a surgeon that does great face lift work I would be so grateful for a recommendation. At present my choice is Dr. Sumner Slavin. During my consultation I was impressed by his ability to really listen to my concerns as well as his explanation of how he would do the procedures. He has a solid reputation but like so many plastic surgeons he does a variety of procedures. Perhaps it doesn't matter but I would feel more confident if I knew how many face lifts he has performed, particularly in the past year. Any additional information about Dr. Slavin would be very appreciated.
