Post surgery anxiety

Postby cindyinNWCT » Wed Apr 15, 2015 1:27 pm

Just had my lower facelift yesterday. So far, all seems to be going according to plan. Although I knew to expect tightness, it's a very claustrophobic feeling to me, and not being able to move my face and jaw very much is making me feel quite anxious. And I know I have WEEKS if not months to go before it subsides. Any words of comfort appreciated.

Hi. Sorry to read of your discomfort, and am hoping that by now you are well on your way to being healed and are happy with your face lift. I am new here on the boards, and have not yet had my FL done, but came across your post and wanted to give you some encouragement.

Please respond with how things are going, and how you are feeling!

I understand how you feel completely. I had facelift, blephroplasty, fat injections and neck lift and am 4 weeks out now. I feel tight and claustrophobic also. Massage helps, I use Arnica gel which is supposed to help heal, especially on my neck. But I do admit the tightness is better than the looseness that was there previously. I hated the skin blowing in the wind especially when I rode my motorcycle. I am sure we will all heal and be much better soon! Think positively. :D
