Resume Activities after Facelift?

Postby barley » Wed Jun 28, 2006 1:29 pm

Thanks - I really appreciate the feedback. It will be interesting to see what my PS says about it. I have never been very good at laying around so that is going to be a new experience - learning to "take it easy" for a few weeks. I know the final outcome will be worth it - right?? Thats why we are all here. Do you remember how long after your lift that you could start walking any distance again?
As far as the ice cream melting so easy in the mouth - that sounds real good. Especially having this done in the heat of the summer and in Florida.
You gals are great - thanks for all the info - it is definitely priceless. Hope shortly I will be able to contribute as much.

I've heard wait 2 weeks, 4 weeks, 6 weeks or longer. Everyone has a different answer. Would the "wrinkles" have come back anyway or is it because our face muscles do a lot of work during aerobic and weight exercising? Has anyone been successful w/workouts and still kept a "stiff" (pardon the pun) upper lip or neck as the case may be?

Hi Sienna, I noticed it more or less as the swelling went down. I think it maybe because when you are slim youve got that sort of hollow in the neck area instead of a bit of meat to pad it out, does that make sense :?: Maybe one day they will come up with some sort of injectable for the neck area, or does that already exsist :?: Prissy may know the answer to that one. I was thinking of trying Obagi, but i dont think its widely available in the uk. Maybe we just have to live with it :!: Oh no i cant do that, what am i thinking, that attitude could get me expelled from THE CULT. The twins would have me excommunicated and sent for therapy

At one point did the creepy, wrinkly neck come back. I hope that does not always happen. I am so pleased with my smooth neck that I check each day to see whether it is real or a dream.

Hi Maizie, my really smooth, tight neck lasted about six weeks, but i dont think it happens to everyone. I really hope you keep yours, It does seem to be a hard area to treat though.
