He's the best. Office staff is excellent too.I had a f/l, browlift, eyes. The necklift was the hardest to recover from. Felt tight for a while as expected, but is perfect now. I had very little swelling, no bruises and no complications. Excellent results! I had general anesthesia and the group he uses is well respected. You will be in good hands.

I am looking for a good surgeon in Houston (I had a lower facelift done and the recovery was brutal and the result not the best)
Does Dr. Hamilton have the possibility of staying a day or two at a hospital? and is he very expensive? He came highly recommended to me.

I had to change my surgery date to Feb 13 due to problems with medical clearance issues. Darn this pneumonia!! Anyway, glad he is such a stickler to EVERYTHING!! I am super excited and am expecting GREAT results. His before and after pics are amazing. He does not advertise those pics so I only saw them AFTER he thought I was a candidate and ready for the surgery. Saw him 4 years ago and he told me to go home....not ready yet!! He is expensive, but I guess it is what you are comparing him to. He really wants you to spend 2 nights in the hospital and even recommends a private nurse or sitter along with the nursing staff at the hospital. I hate to quote fees because I really think everyone's case will be different. A ballpark for EVERYTHING will be roughly $30K + or -. This will be my 3rd f/l and I feel probably the most crucial. I had great results when I was 40 (ps Tom Biggs), 50 (ps Larry Wolfe) and now at 63....this is the last hurrah!! But really need the best and feel like I have found him. Hope this helps. :D

You helped me tremendously - I had some work done 5 years ago and did not last even 3 years before the skin started to sag. I love the idea of being in the hospital for 2 nights - I find it awful if my husband has to do all this.will you do a full facelift? I only want lower....what are his conditions for surgery? I don't want to look younger - I only want to look "jowl free" with a little tighter neck (i.e. loose the turkey skin) what hospital does he operate in? ANd if I may ask? when you say expensive? How expensive are we talking about? I want to add, I actually got his name from a doctor who did Mohs cancer surgery - she said that if she would do something - he would be the one. Did he give you an idea of how long you had to be off work? What is the downtime where you have to be invisible?
Thanks

My main issue was with my face jowls and turkey neck! Horrible...I really didn't like looking in the mirror. My eyes were droopy too, i avoided people i knew! I know....pathetic!
I stayed two nights in the hospital with a private duty nurse.I had my eyes done So the post op eye gel pads need to be changed every 20 minutes or so to keep them ice cold...reduces swelling. There is no way I could do that myself. Walking in the hall and going to the bathroon was easier with assistance as well.
Dr Hamilton technically is an excellent surgeon. In addition he's an artist. He can look at your face and know what to do to achieve your most beautiful look/best results. Dr Hamilton in my opinion is the best facial surgeon.... not to say there aren't others who are good too...don't want to upset anyone!
My thought on the cost is that it's well worth it because his results are excellent and the fl will last due to the technique he uses. Also to fix botched surgery is way more costly both financially and emotionally!!!! Best to get it right the first time and work off of that in the future with fillers as needed!
The very best of luck to you!!!

Thanks for all the responses - how long was your recovery from the f/l? I am worried that I will be out for too long and then my colleagues will start talking.

I"ve interviewed three plastic surgeons and all seem good and highly recommended but I'm still searching. It has to be a perfect fit! Today my hairdresser told me that the best facial plastic surgeon is Steven Hamilton. I can't find a website for him??? Everything that I've read about him online is good so far. Do any of you know if he does chemical peels or laser at the same time as a face lift? Give me as much scoop on him as you can! Thanks girls :)

Hi Susan,
It's been nearly a year since your planned surgery with Dr. Hamilton. How did it go? Are you happy with the results? Would you recommend him?
Many thanks,
Gabi
P.S. I moved to the Houston area

Dr. Hamilton and staff are beyond extraordinary. I had a breast reduction and lift. Dr. Hamilton is the best of the best - he is an artist. I am just past my 6 month mark and you can hardly see the scars. Even shortly after surgery, the stitches and everything were clean and you could see his work was exquisite. My mothers friend had the same surgery as I did and looks phenomenal as well. I recommend Dr. Hamilton and staff to anybody and everybody looking to have one of the best experiences.

I just found this site last week while searching for good facial plastic surgeons in Houston. I was actually looking for reviews on another surgeon when I stumbled across this thread. I am looking to have a mini facelift done. Just need to address my nasolabial and marionette lines before they become jowls. I have tried fillers with not so spectacular results. Really not worth the money. I have had two other consultations, but did not feel completely comfortable with either surgeon. I have a consult with Henry Mentz next week, but just made an appointment with Dr. Hamilton after reading your reviews and seeing Susan's results. Susan you are absolutely stunning! This is such an exciting but frightening experience. I just want to make the right decision.

Additionally, I really wasn't planning on a hospital stay as the short scar mini facelift is normally outpatient surgery. Can anyone tell me if Dr. H would consider this?
