Suggestion, combining some topics??

Postby Slave4Beauty » Thu Mar 26, 2009 1:58 pm

Hey MMH,

Tons of good info and helpful posters here!

I wanted to throw out a suggestion because I've heard it mentioned as a (possible) negative feature of MMH a few times on other ps and beauty related forums.

It seems that it might be faster to post on subjects if a couple of forums were combined. For example, dermabrasion doesn't get many new posts per day but it's a subject that would be of interest to someone considering chemical peels. If a few related subjects were combined it might make forum posting and reading faster. Perhaps the pages might load a bit faster if a member only had to go to one or two favorite forum subjects rather than scrolling down the many topics to post in different areas.

I totally agree w/this one! It's getting longer and longer to scroll down to get to topics - passing things that are even locked, (I know the suggestion was made to get rid of the locked boards here (makes sense)

combining some - as this person suggested I also think would be great, and much easier "as a whole" look and access to your site.

I agree! There really should only be one forum for all facial implants and maxiofacial surgery for example.

Separating all the forums makes things confusing and harder to get information.

I know nothing we say makes a difference though.

I agree with the others here. I like the great weight loss forums here and I'd like to post more and get to know other posters but I think scrolling down over dead forums and opening 4 different weight loss/workout forums is time consuming for people who have jobs or busy lives. It would help to combine some forums.

Yes, consolidate the implants boards, a good suggestion to make MMH even BETTER than it already is.

Cheek and jaw implants as well as the 3 exercise & wt loss forums could be condensed to make posting/reading faster. Maybe breast lift could be combined with BA and male lipo could be discussed with male tummy tuck. I love this site for all the great information it contains but man there is a lot of scrolling and opening different forums just to post.

It takes time but MMH DOES listen to member suggestions..... They put up a cosmetic dentistry board in response to requests.

I've been off the makemeheal boards for almost a yr due to moving. I had to re jion because I can't access my old email or password.

I've felt this board could be clean-up or consolidated a bit for sometime. Like this poster said it would be a good idea to organize and combine some of the forums. The posters here are great but you have to dig through so multiple forums of overlapping subject matter to find the stuff you need.

The doctor section looks much better and is easier to access now that it is organized with the most active doctors on top. I hope makemeheal will listen to this idea and combine some of the forums that duplicate each other.

This is an excellent site but it's just such a big board-- to scroll and open various forums on similar subjects seems time consuming. Thank you makemeheal!

I respectfully disagree with combining Breast Lift and Breast Implants into same forum --- not all that has had a BL had a BA, same with BA, may not have had BL at same time --- therefore leaving healing and recoveries different due to being two different procedures...

Lisa, Very good point that I hadn't thought of Re: BA and breast lift.

To be honest I was just quickly throwing out ideas of ways to consolidate and I didn't spend any time analyzing as I have no vested interest. But from many years of frequent posting on and reading multiple ps boards such as the old "yesthey'refake.net" I've heard others mention that MMH could use a little consolidation. That's the only reason I started this post....So the owner would look at the idea or organizing to make posting faster.

PS TN is really beautiful. I don't get to go south much-- last visit was in 1999. It's a hidden unspoiled gem among the southern states . Best to you.

Well if sharing ideas really IS freely allowed here and not discouraged then I'll admit I TOTALLY agree with all of the posters who think this board would be easier to navigate if it were consolidated a bit. It is too big and not well organized. There are too many different forums.

*****PLUS the celebrity ps section is really fun and generates good ps discussions but it's sooo far to the bottom of the long list of forums that I never work my way down to read it. *******

I agree and hope my suggestion and tone was not too inconsiderate. Thanks for listening.

Also, please add "functional rhinoplasty fixing breathing and ear problems" into the rhinoplasty general topic for us sickos!!

(Hope I wasn't inconsiderate in tone either because this is the only ps forum I really learn from lately. I need MMH!!! lol)

Not sure if this is the right place to post this or if anyone reads stuff way down on the bottom of the board. But I think the problem I'm having may be related to what S4B said about "pages loading slow" --which may be due to the size this forum with all the different boards. Or it might just be a large volume of traffic or people signing on at one time??

Anyway what happens on rare occasion when I go to my mmh bookmark I get a msg saying "critical error". This error lasts for about 3 minutes then all of a sudden I can see mmh forums again. Not sure if this a problem with my computer settings or just maybe mmh is a little slow to load at times. idk I'm no geek.
