I had Gastric Bypass sergery April 7th

Postby Adri204 » Mon Apr 13, 2009 11:30 pm

Hi all I am recovering great. I waighed about 265 at time of sergery and now I waigh 250lbs. I have not thrown up so far. I still have the G tube in my stomach and will have it removed Thursday. I have been recovering with flying colours. I seem to have no problem keeping food down. I burp quite a bit and will ask my sergeon on thursday if thats normal. I have not thrown up like at all from it. I eat of course baby foods, cheerios, I have a protien shake and popsicles.

Yesterday for example I made a 12 ounce protien liquid shake. I put some ice in the blender, water and two scoops of chocolate flavored protien mix. I blended it up and liquified it. It cant be to rich and thick it has to be thin and I put in a small chuck of banna like an 8th of the banana for flavor. I blended it all up and it was good. It took me drinking it in small sips about 8 hours to drink. Then a couple hours later I had a small jello cup that took about three hours to get through. Then i had about 10 cherrios as a final snack spread over a half hour.

Tommoro I will be 7 days post op and I have No regrets like at all period.

Adri :)

Yeah It's now half a year after your surgery. How are you managing the weight loss? Would be good to hear from you.
