What type of surgery did you have? I think 12lbs is great! Are you exerciseing? I do know how you feel. Ive lost a total of 41 lbs, but only lost 2 lbs over a six week pierod, I actually got very depressed about it because I was keep my calorie intack low and working out 4 days a week. Im hoping after my last fill (which I had yesterday) the pounds will start to fall. I feel I could give you more advice if I knew if you had gastric bypass or lap band. :D

Lap band surgery

Postby marissa » Tue Jul 10, 2007 6:17 pm

The lap band surgery is really dependent on the fills. I just had it done a month ago and lost 15 pounds. But this is from my dieting, since I have no fill yet. I must get the saline injected fill that the doctor injects into my port just under the skin on my stomach. This will cause restriction and make me less hungry. It will be a slow weight loss but with willpower and a lot of preserverence the wt. will come off.

I, had the lap band, since may 3, and had lost almost 35 kilos, I got filled the 6`th week. I had my band filled with 2.5cc, out of the 5cc`s that the band can handle, and love it, is a good number 18 punds without the band been filled, don`t rush, when you get it filled you`ll notice the difference. just make sure to have enough protein in your diet, so you can prevent hair loss, and other issues related to the lack of protein.

Don’t worry much more. Loosing weight is not a so difficult task but first of all think positive. I am Caroline from UK. Two years ago I was also suffering from the overweight problem. I was so frustrate on those days. When I go to any party and celebration I feel myself different from others. Suddenly my cousin sister advised me to take the Lipo dissolve treatment. I was tired after wandering most of places so I think that it may be the last method to reduce the overweight problem. After injecting few injections I feel that my fatty areas start dissolving. After six months later my body shape completely changed. And now I have a slim and attractive body shape. I feel that Lipo dissolve treatment is a easy way to dissolve fat.

You should definitely be losing steady this early out. I would schedule an appt with your doctor, maybe you need a fill? It is also important to exercise and eat the proper nutrients with all weight loss surgery. If your not exercising, you should make it a point to start walking daily. Also a good tip is to log all of your foods. I use a site calorie count.com. I had gastric bypass surgery back in 2004. I lost almost 100 lbs, but I did regain it and then some because I did not eat right and learned how to "graze" all the time. I think one of the biggest misconceptions with these surgeries is that it is an easy fix and sure resolution to our weight loss problems, when the key component is "us". It wasnt until I understood that I had to make a life change that I lost my weight. I changed my diet and exercise regularly. I have lost over 200 lbs and maintained for over 5 years now. Remember we have to heal from inside to lose the weight. But definitely call your doctor and see if you just need an adjustment.
