Am 19 yrs of age.i have a genetically inherited pluffy kind of facial structure at the bottom area of my face like my father used to have and i hate it like anything. I want to get rid of it as soon as possible. I have done a lot of research on non surgical procedures for facial fat removal and found many such as laser lipolysis,injection but am really afraid to get them as almost every procedure is not approved by the FDA, and they claim them to be harmful for skin though the clinics claim them to be perfectly safe. Am really young i cant afford to have any complication on my face. And as in these procedures incisions are created over the face which will leave scars which i really cant afford at any cost. I dont want to undergo any surgery, i want a method which can give me satisfactory and guaranteed results without ANY side effects/complications without going under the knife. Please refer me a perfect option for me getting a perfect jawline and cheekbone,a well defined face which i always have craved for. Please help me i will be really greatful to you. I can't think of a non-surgical procedure which will deliver a perfect neck and jawline with guaranteed results without any side effects or complications. All procedures whether surgical or non-surgical have some side effects or complications. If not, then they may give so little improvement that it does not deliver any results, let alone perfect anything.

One suggestion for you is to go onto the Realself website and ask your same question to multiple doctors. You will get multiple doctors who will volunteer to answer your questions. If all of the doctors say the same thing that I do, then you have a consensus or essentially we all agree that no such procedure exists. However, if a couple or multiple doctors all think of the same non-surgical procedure which will deliver a perfect neck and jawline with guaranteed results and zero risk of complications and side effects, then I am misinformed and I would also like to learn this procedure, since I am a facelift and necklift specialist, and something like that would be a great "tool" to add to my "toolbox."

Now that you have some homework, please come back to post your findings and let me know if you anything that fits your criteria. If you do have the procedure and it does give you everything that you wanted, please also update the readers on my forum with your plastic surgery journey.

thanku so much for your honest and straight forward response. I really liked your way of guiding.umm well Dr. its like now i do understand that complications cant be neglected completely. Well i just made my mind to have buccal fat pad removal surgery. Can you please recomend some surgeons who have great expertise in this area. I really want the best because its about my face. Also i am from india, so it would be really great if i get my surgeon in india as i dont have my passport ready to go foreign. Also I want to do it really soon without any delay. I would be really grateful to you if you guide me. I know you dont recommend this surgery to people thats why i am asking for your guidance. Maybe some other procedure could work for me though. I am not a fan of the buccal fat removal procedure. I don't recommend surgeons to anonymous online posters, only to patients who have consulted with me, and I either I don't offer the procedure that would work best for them, or perhaps I do offer the procedure, and another surgeon is best known for that procedure, so I will also give them their name.

I don't know any surgeons or doctors who practice in India.

I can't help anonymous people, because if they can't trust me to contact my office privately, I can't trust anything that they are saying is true. For example, an anorexic person could contact my forum anonymously and say they are too fat and wants to have liposuction, and asks me for a recommendation. If I see them in person, it will be clear that they are not fat and do not need liposuction, but for me to recommend a procedure that they clearly should not have would not be the "ethical way" to practice medicine.

Hopefully from my posts you can tell I am a caring and ethical physician and surgeon, and from my example of the "anorexic" anonymous poster, why I can't give medical advice and surgical recommendations to anonymous people. Most people read my posts and hopefully learn from them and never contact my office. They take that information with them to consultations with local surgeons, so that they are better informed and less likely to be talked into more surgery than they need or procedures that clearly are not right for them. Other people will contact my office privately by email or telephone and ask for a "virtual consultation" if they are from overseas or outside of the New York area. The internet allows for Skype and teleconferencing, which is a good way to "meet" people without traveling. Hopefully they get a lot of education and my point of view during their virtual consultation, even ultimately it is logistically not practical to choose me as their surgeon.

Buccal fat reduction is a somewhat common procedure and not technically very difficult. Easy to perform, hard to reverse. I'm sure if you google or search youtube, you will find many surgeons in Asia if not India who do offer this procedure.

You would be thinking am being stupid not going for an individual consultation at my place but the reason is I cant, though I know a few surgeons who claim for this surgery in India, because almost everyone here, with due respect, is an expert in everything.
If I go and ask for a consultation for buccal fat reduction surgery, I wont be sure having a consultation but directly a surgery.
I am really not in any intention of disrespecting any profession in any way but in here it is a reality for our country. I dont say everyone is like that but most of them is like that.
You can understand very well that its not necessary that I am right. It may be my anxiety and honestly telling you, am just guessing that I want this procedure. I am not a surgeon that I can understand my facial anatomy and it is a real possibility that out of my anxiety I go for something that I dont need at all. That's why am so much concerned about it.
It would be really great if you could help me with this.
Sorry I know am one of the most desperate user you came across your forum and provide you with a lot of disturbance from my side but I believe its good to clear everything you have in your mind rather than being confused about them.

I was not aware of that in other countries. Every plastic surgeon's office is different. Most of us are in solo practice and some are part of a group practice or hospital. Since I only work at my own practice, you would have to contact the office of the plastic surgeon who you would like to consult with.
