Ask Dr. Yang any questions about facial plastic surgery, including facelifts, necklifts, eyelid surgery (blepharoplasty), browlifts, otoplasty, and non-surgical treatments such as Botox and injectable fillers.
Do you know of any procedure that can give someone more "hard" volume or definition if they have a very weak brow bone? Have you ever heard of anyone using fillers in this area or some sort of implant with good success? I've only seen this one implant in regards to augmenting that area if it is quite deficient.
Hard volume or more "structure" would need to be some kind of artificial implant, or bone or cartilage grafting. The link to the porex site is potentially an option, although, it appears to only come in one size, so I don't know if it will give you the exact result that you want, since you seem to have something very specific in mind.
I don't know of any famous people or anyone for that matter, who has been transformed from a typically Asian looking male to a more strong browed Caucasian looking person with "fierce looking eyes" as you have mentioned in the past. Even the examples of people on the old Extreme Makeover (plastic surgery editions) didn't have much work done on the brows. For male to female transformations, there are plastic surgeons who perform transgender plastic surgery who have reduced the brow bone in conjunction with a browlift for a more feminine look. However, for brow augmentation, I haven't heard of any.
Some people have complained on the forums of a "cro-magnon" look of heavy brows after either filler or fat grafting injections into the skin around the brow area. So there may be some examples some soft volume augmentation somewhere on the internet, although the augmentation that you are seeking may have been performed unintentionally on these patients.
Where exactly are you on your plastic surgery journey? I remember that we did a virtual consultation more than a year ago. I hope you are doing well.
Thank you Dr. Yang for your thorough reply as always. Also, thanks for the check up, I'm quite surprised you remembered our virtual consultation. I'm also quite surprised it has been that long too, since I was estimating at about this time of the year, during our virtual consultation, I would have had a full new face already. Time sure does fly. For the most part I have been dabbling with small fillers and such, and trying to avoid any real cutting. At this point you'd expect me to be a wreck with a lot of plastic surgery mistakes but I took a lot of the wisdom and advice you shared with me and am just treading lightly for now, still doing research as well.
Thanks again for your insight all throughout all of our exchanges.
