Birth Control

Postby rachel.h » Fri Dec 16, 2011 4:46 pm

Hey ladies!!

Does anyone have experience with using different types of BC and can you provide which brand you decided to stick with and why? A girlfriend of mine recently started taking BC and it has only been a week but she is already experiencing some ''not so pleasant'' side effects. She had told me she got her period exactly one week after she started taking it too. She has only seen negative side effects so far. Does BC usually help to clear up skin and does it usually make your breasts bigger? It seems there are so many different brands to select from these days and hard to know which one is right for you.

I know she had tried the shot once and that was a HUGE mistake. She actually ended up having her period for 6 months #-o   after she decided to stop taking it. Any advice or information on your own experiences would be great!!

I go for the birth control injections, works for up to 12-14 weeks but the injection should be administered once every 12 weeks to get full protection. The only side effect that I'm getting is weight gain which is really disappointing, I try to control my food intake which I think helps and I'm quite okay with it also since I'm not getting any younger eating healthy is also good for our body.
