Eyelash extensions & hair thinning

Eyelash extensions & hair thinning

Postby peeker » Thu Oct 16, 2008 7:22 pm

I have two questions. First, since I hit my 40's (now 44) my long, thick almost fake looking eye lashes became sparse and short. I have been wearing extensions (which I get filled every two weeks) for the past year. Do they harm your real lashes? Of course the lady doing them claims no.
Also, since I hit 40, my long hair is thinning horribly. I am already wearing it about 5 inches shorter (mid back) so as to try and hide this. Is there any products that really help stop or even help hair grow back? Or has the old age syndrome taken me with no turning back. Of course all beauty shops want to sell you their $30 a bottle shampoo and cream rinse to help. Any medical shampoos/rinses that really, really do help?

Fast forward to beg. of December. I ordered Revitalash approx. a month ago and started using it. I also quit using the eyelash extensions to give my lashes a break. In a few weeks I did noticed a little growth (not a lot) but it was only for about 3 weeks. Yet just a few days ago I noticed brown spots appearing on my blue iris in both eyes. I have discontinued using Revitalash but would like to know if those brown spots are permanent?
