Hi everyone. Iam new to this forum but i belong to PSJourneys with another nickname. I had my first hair transplant with dr Marcelo Rodriguez last week. Iam currently in Argentina until next week when dr rodriguez will remove my stitches from the back area.
I wanted to tell you my experience since iam a woman and not many people know that we might need hair transplants too. I started with my problem after a very painful situation years ago and since then, ive been hiding myself with all kind of hats. Iam thrilled with my results even though i know i have to wait.
He is wonderful as a doctor and as a person. I researched in Mexico since iam from Dallas but doctors there wanted to do it in2 times. Here he did it once. Which is great since i do not have to go through another surgery soon.

Buenos Aires is amazing and people are very warm. I had an assistant so it was easy for me since i do not speak spanish at all. I ate steak, wines, Malbec is the best.

My surgery lasted around 4 hours and it was done in a private clinic. I had a great time here so far.

I will post my pics in the gallery and in a couple of months i will update you .
Do not be afraid to do this if you are a woman. I did hide my face in the pics since my parents do not know WHY i came down to Argentina!

Stay in touch and email me if you have questions about the surgery.

Thanks to both forums for such a great information that made my research something important.

Hi Petra,
Thank you for posting as it gave me the courage to post. I also am a woman and had a hair transplant. I went to Costa Rica, found out about it through www.healthcostarica.com and like you I am so happy with the procedure. I chose to go abroad because I didn't want anyone to know. My hair was really thinning on the front crown and since I was already thinking of some other cosmetic procedures I thought why not, men do it. I thought the doctors and the all the people there were warm and friendly. I stayed at Case de la Mariposa a recovery retreat, I also had a tummy tuck and breast implants. I had my surgery almost 3 months ago and am beginning to see the real change it is making. Will take longer to see the full effect, Dr. Rosenstock said about six months, but I am glad that it takes a while so it is less noticable. I too will post some photos but no face shots as I am trying to keep this low key. Hope this helps others know that women can have a hair transplant too!

Hongkongbunny - you should go to Bangkok for hair transplantation - I had facelift scars covered and eyebrows thickened at the BEST place for hair transplants - that's all they do there and they have a very busy clinic with people from all over the world.

I will post the clinic's name (is it allowed?)

www.hairtransinter.com

It cost a fraction of what I was quoted in Australia.

It bothers me that the top 2 posters on this thread never posted a follow up on their procedures.
