I have a breast reduction scheduled and the post surgery instructions say that I may wear a t-shirt or cmisole as soon as the bandages are unnecessary and to delay in purchasing or wearing a new bra for two weeks. does this sound normal? most of the post here the women have worn compression bras, are they needed for me to heal properly? do they reduce the scaring?

There are varying theories for postop care. I prefer a non wire bra from the early going but I do not believe it really alters the final scar result.
