Lip Lift Questions

Postby Emma100 » Wed May 30, 2012 1:40 pm

Has anyone had a problem being able to close their mouth after upper lip lift?
Is it possible to have a lip lift without making the upper lift look very full? Would like a lip lift with subtle fullness
thank you

Hi. I just got mine done 15 days ago. I have pics on the nose section to give you an idea. Although in those first pics I am swollen, it's down now. You will have a fat swollen upper lip right after surgery for a couple of days. Then it'll go away in 7-10 days.

I'm able to close my mouth, no problems.

Yes, it's possible not to look super full. I told my surgeon conservative and he did. I was afraid of having it bigger than my bottom, but it's not. Perfect size. thing I see is that one cupid's bow is a tad higher than the other, but not noticeable to anyone. Other than that, i'm pretty happy with it. My lips look sexy.

After getting my stitches removed, I was sent to get the v-beam laser same day. As soon as I got them off. It's best you do the same. Suppose to be the best for stitches. I have to do the laser treatments monthly, until it goes away. I'm using wound-be-gone scar gel.

I had a lip lift and love it one thing to check for it to make sure they do not cut into the underlining tissue. They should only be cutting the top layer of skin. The pic you see of people that have their front teeth showing is where the surgeon cut to deep. Some people WANT this look, I call it the bugs bunny look, no one else does, but that is what it reminds me of when they cut to deep.
