HI everyone'

I had lipo to my lower belly inner thighs and knees May9

The knees look great
The thighs are not even...and are still BIG
ONe thigh is fatter than the other

The abdomen has a BIG indentation about 2" below my belly button and the the right has a hard bump...

There is more fat on one side of my belly button than the other...

I am vegan and work out regularly...
I run, lift weights and just completed HOT yoga teacher training..

I LIVE in work out bra tops and tights..

These irregularities are SO noticeable!!

I need a revision...I saw him on month 3 and he said it was too early..welll..nothing has changed!!
He also said he will not di revisions unless that is a visible difference and thinks mine is minor...

IT"S VISIBLE TO ME!!
still dented with a ahard bump..ALSO
I think he may have damages some lean tissue..when I lean to the right..sideways..this fiber sticks out on the side where the hard bump is... look like a tendon..does not hurt unless I am in BOW pose on the floor..pressure on it..

What the hell is that??

I am in toronto and Dr. Backstein did the proceedure

800cc's..WTF!!

I have LOST no weight and my clothes are fitting no looser!!??

SO DISAPPOINTED!!!

I am 5'8" 140 pounds...

The scars above my pubic hair are awful too...not even..one bigger than the other....
WIll they go white ever?

Please give me some advise..where should I go for a second oppinion in my area?

I'm so sorry you're unhappy with your results!

To be fair to your PS, final contouring results can't be determined until you're approximately 6-12 months post-op.

On the other hand, 800cc isn't a lot especially when taken from a total of 3 areas and you shouldn't see any weight loss. Are you built very lean?

Some of the uneven areas and hard bump areas that you described are very normal for some post-op lipo patients. It takes time (and patience) for it to resolve.

As with any PS scars are unavoidable. And it's not uncommon for them to be uneven, remain pink or purple for a long time, etc. Did your surgeon recommend any scar treatment? Are your scars not hidden?

If you're scheduled to see your PS at 6 months post-op and you're still unhappy, then definitely discuss revisions.

Best wishes!

I know your upset and dissapointed but you are 4 months out .Iam almost 4 months out and iam not 100% happy either iam still very swollen still have my love handels and my abs are big still fat is there. Iam not going to freak out yet though since everyone says at 6 months you should see the end results so iam going to wait another 2 months and if its the same as now then i will freak. I go to my ps in 3 weeks so then i will ask him if its swelling or fat or if something went wrong here. cause i paid 11 grand and iam not going to be happy if i dont see 100% results in the end. Good luck with everything

I have heard of this problem before. I used to work in a plastic surgery office and saw a couple patients that experienced similar issues. There are some helpful articles on http://melbourneaustralialiposuction.com .

Thank you Lauren.
I went to that site and could not find anything that addressed this...
I went to get my stitch out..
The Hardness is about 2 inches by 2 inches...
I can actually grab it under my skin.
PS said it was scar tissue and should go away in time...
It was there B4 the revision...over a year...Don't think it will go..
Ya, no weight loss at all after surgery.
I am 5'6" 140, so not very lean..
I have a FLATTER lower ab, but was expecting more...
Am seeing him again in March...
See if this hardness is gone.
Thanx

rawrnr,
Would it be possible for you to take a picture of this lump and post it here? Cuz I'm no doc, but geez, that sounds almost TOO big to be just scar tissue. You may seriously consider seeing an internal medicine doctor and ask for another opinion. Can the area be biopsied? Would an MRI show anything untoward? I'd also want to first know: WHAT is that lump?

800 cc's is a pretty small amount of fat to be removed, probably no more than 1-1.5 pounds max! So no wonder you don't notice any real weight loss or loose-fitting clothes. This procedure should've just involved sculpting problem areas.

What kind of lipo did you have done? (Vaser High Definition, SmartLipo, traditional tumescent lipo?) Cuz some forms of lipo enable better control and sculpting of the area being done. It could be that your surgeon just used a cannula TOO BIG with too aggressive movements that resulted in uneven areas and scar tissue. Are you prone to keloids or forming scars after injury?

Your journey is not over yet. The painful reality is that even tho you may return to this surgeon for a follow-up at 6-mos post, you may not want him to touch you ever again! It is not too early to start looking for another highly qualified surgeon who may have some answers for you - and if you are lucky - suggest the next step to get you the results you want. Good luck in getting this resolved.
Vaser High Def lipo on torso, neck & knee lipo, Neck, Midface lift, Brow Lift, Upper Eye Bleph, Lower Face lift, IPL, Sclerotherapy, Restylane, Juvederm, Botox and fat injections. Um, what's missing?! I've had it all.

HI Bugjune!

I was looking at your pics. I have that curb of fat just below my belly button too!!!
:(

It was traditional lipo, he said they were all the same when I asked about High Def Lipo..

The lump that was sticking out from my lower abs's like a hard boiled egg has reduced in size and is hardly noticeable to SEE, BUT it is still hard, and the same size as an hard boiled egg...
I really am down about this as I have no idea how to explain this to the future men I will be with...
There has been a hard spot since my first surgery over a year ago, now it's just worse...
What do I say?
I had a tumor removed and it caused scar tissue??
:(

It is gross and I myself hate running my hand across my belly..anyone experience this??

:(

I am pretty down and this does not help my emotional binge eating....

I didn't lose ANY weight from the proceedure, yet believe I could have and should have. I am 5'8" 140.

I went to 138...OH BOY...but am back to my previous 140, which at the time was my heaviest...my usual weight has always been 130--135....

But this amount to food I am eating is just catching up and my thighs and ass are getting bigger...

NOT HAPPY!!

The patch of shin that was stuck to my muscle is now unstuck...that is good, but the roll just below my belly button is more pronounced now...or maybe I notice it cus the dent is gone...

I have decided to just STOP mutilating myself.
I was awake during the proceedure where he USTUCK me and it was SO SAD...
As he tore into my skin I was thinking WTF am I doing??
It's just abuse to ourselves...
I have chosen to be loving and kind to my body instead of being it's cirtic...

I am done with plastic surgery and will continue to better my inside insteach of focusing on the external...

To reach outwards is a dream
To reach inwards is awareness.

Thank you all for your support

Wow. You've got a LOT to process here! Surgeries, binge eating, relationships, honesty, physical discomfort, and a dollop of anxiety. That's a tall order to tackle on your own.

Have you considered talking to a therapist or professional to work through these issues?

Your height and ideal weight (130-135) is exactly where I'm at. And it takes WORK, commitment and healthy eating every single day. Things I'd be tempted to eat too much of are simply not in the house anymore. We all have our weaknesses, and sometimes the only way to avoid them is to absolutely not have them around.

As far as relationships, you need to get through the issues of this lipo and the self-destructive eating first. When you are calm inside, you will radiate confidence outside. At that point, honesty is the best policy. You don't have to advertise your surgeries to ANYONE - be they family, friend or date. But if someone is groping around your midsection and comes across that "egg" I'd be honest.

While your doc is technically correct in stating that "all lipo is the same" it is a FACT that some surgeons are more skilled than others; also, that some surgeons prefer to use the extremely narrow cannula of a high definition lipo machine, precisely because their patient had little fat to remove and wanted sculpted results. I found such a surgeon. You can too. But it's a combination of luck, proximity and doing the due diligence to find that surgeon.

For now, I'd just CHILL on the surgery stuff. Find out what's really eating you. It can't hurt to join a gym, get into a fitness program, whittle your problem areas, start eating healthy and THEN think about surgery a few months out.

GOOD LUCK to you! You are struggling with some big baggage here. Don't think you have to do it on your own. Get help.
