I had BodyJet lipo done 2 wks. ago and am not sure if that's the same thing, but if it is, so far I'm pleased. I still have a bit of swelling and had a fair amount of bruising, but at 2 wks. out, I think that's normal. As far as the amount of fat the doctor was able to remove and the overall shape of my figure at this point........I'm very pleased and looking forward to further improvements as the weeks go along.
I should also mention that I've been a bit concerned about the news that came out last week about compensatory fat returning in other areas following lipo, but if the report is accurate, there's really not much I can do about it at this point and just hope that if I do see fat return in other areas, it will be more proportioned over my entire body. I had my outter hips/thighs done.
I'm re-posting it from other thread. I had jet lipo/water lipo/ aqua lipon- it's known under all those name, if I understand correctly. Here is my experience: I had my saddle bags and a bit of upper inner thighs done this past Saturday. I had a water lipo and Dr removed 700cc. He put me in a compression garment and bandaged my thighs on top of it. I took Vit K for a week prior to surgery as well as antibiotic, which apparently, I misunderstood, I was supposed to be taking post surgery, and not prior. It was a little painful when he would get close to muscle or skin, but bearable. I wanted to have my knees done also, but couldn't stomach additional $2000 just for that. Anyway, I am feeling great. Walking a bit gingerly but I suspect it has a lot to do with the CG and not surgery itself. Right after procedure, I felt fantastic, I came home and made a meal for my kids, later took Vicodin and a nap, 5 hours later another Vicodin and another nap. At 9 pm, I took the dog for an hour long walk, I felt a little discomfort but I was so restless. Sunday, one day post surgery, I felt great too. A little discomfort, but I decided to just take Vicodin as needed and not play it tough girl. I napped and walked the dog again. Today, two days post surgery, I had a check up scheduled but dr was running late and I couldn't wait, I had to reschedule. I have been drinking lots of flavored water and Senna leaf tea in the evening because I get constipated and bloated. Senna helps with that. My bandages fell off today and I got to see my new shape. Well, I hope it's swelling because I am not impressed. I still have pronounced saddle bags! He only took 700cc but I am on a slender side so perhaps that's enough. I don't know. I am worried I went through that for naught. I will see him tomorrow and let you know his view. Also, my pubic area is awful swollen and bruised although that was not suctioned. I am a little itchy under the garment but not terribly, I suspect that will come in few days. I bought Arnica and Bromelin today and will start on that first thing tomorrow (on empty stomach to help with swelling.) All right, take care of yourself. Let's hope or good healing. Ta-ta for now! mebie
I just had aqua lipo by the doctor that did it on dr oz. he is fabulous!!! His partner injected the fat into my breasts So far it has been four days, my breasts swelling has gone done and they are looking great! I did not get larger just completed a c cup and lifted them after 48 years of running and exercise causing them to droop.
The areas he took the fat from, my abs, love handles, inner and outer thighs. I am not a large peon just needed tough areas I've been trying to loose after years of workouts and loss of 120 pounds when I was younger, it has only been 4 days, and I am currently back to. My original size. My weight is up, from the surgery, and I am still in a compression garment, for another 3 weeks. I will update all on results from surgery as the weeks go, doctor said because I am fit physically the results will be great! It has only been a few days, but time will tell. So far it has been a positive experience!!
I had aqualipo and smartlipo done march 22 on my outer thighs/saddlebags. I was expecting little downtime and little pain....things did not turn out that way. The procedure itself was easy and relatively painless. 2 days later the gargantuan bruises and pain set in. I feel like i wasnt warned at all because this aqualipo is marketed as a no downtime less bruising less pain kind of procedure. Well i missed 3 days of work and could have taken a week off if not more. I just recently stopped walking ridiculously and the pain just recently has subsided. I think i am happy with the results but am not sure yet. There is still substantial swelling and big bruises. I couldnt wear shorts right now if i wanted to. My doctor took 1400ccs of liquid and he said about 900ccs of it was pure fat. I am at an ideal weight and consider myself healthy. I exercise and lift weights on a schedule. I am surprised at the recovery time and am surprised to read on another plastic surgery website that bruising from this type of lipo isnt normal at all. I hope i am not the only one experiencing this. I understand that the swelling will take time to resolve but the bruising is so ugly! Anyone out there have aqualipo on the outer thighs experiencing similar "side effects?" by the way, i have worn my compression garment exactly as instructed.
Just had aqua lipo done by reputable physician. The "minimal" bruising on my areas is huge and I am still very sore 5 days out. Someone needs to design a better compression garment without the stiff zipper and velcro seam. It is tearing my skin apart. I hope what I am seeing is still swelling since I cannot fit into any of my clothes, nor do I see any difference. There is no way I could ever return to work in less than a week (if I was still working). At this point I am not sure I would recommend this procedure to anyone. Hopefully I will feel differently in a few weeks.
I recently had Aqualipo on three different areas. Upper and Lower Abdomen, and flanks. I'll give you a pretty good run down because I really wish that there were more accurate reviews for my discovery before surgery... I initially started the procedure on my stomach as my flanks were done, then flipped to my back. I could feel the procedure the entire time and this caused some concern with my Doctor as in his 32 years of practice I am the only person who never responded to the drugs. Unfortunately, my bruising was hell. I was not just black and blue... but DARK purple. I took Arnica Montana followed by applying the gel to the bruises. I will vouch that it was amazing for my bruises. Within four days they were completely gone. If I didn't use this I'm sure it would have been weeks. The first week was pretty difficult to move. I kept the compression garment really tight and even caused some cutting in my skin. These things suck to wear. I will admit that is worse than the pain. It itches and drives me INSANE! If you try bending over to get something, think again because it's not pretty. I had my stitches removed after a week and the doctor was surprised he saw such great results already. I can say that I am sooo happy, but I still can't wait until I get through the next two weeks (total of four weeks). What a lot of people do not know is that it can take up to three MONTHS to show final results due to swelling. I just can't wait to get back to the gym. Get this stupid compression garment off. And, finally get back to having a normal life. He took over 1900cc's from all three areas from me. It's been an amazing transformation and I would definitely do it again. With surgical fee, garment and doctor fee I paid $6500. He's one of the TOP doctor's in the nation out of Chicago. I would definitely recommend this to anyone. It takes a little pain, but it's well worth it. You have to think about it... It's surgery... Recovery isn't instant... Goodluck!!
I had aqualipo done two days ago. First let me say this is not for the faint of heart. The procedure that was supposed to be gentle and only required valium was brutal. It was truly terribly painful and I fancy myself as having a high pain threshold. I had the valium and a dose of verset (I believe that is how it is spelled). The initial little shots to make incisions were tolerable I didn't really feel incisions but the instant they inserted the wand I was miserable. I kept my eyes covered so I can't speak to technique exactly but it seems they inserted wand into each site and sprayed some lidocane solution. I had 3 areas done at once and each had several incisions. Each insertion was horrible and I reacted with violent shaking to the epinephrin in solution. Once all sites had intial sprays they went back adding more lidocane as they went. By the time it got near the end I was more numb and able to calm down. Initially I was nearly hysterical it was so painful. I had a lot removed and 3 areas. So far my weight is 7 lbs more than my initial weight and I still look big. I am very swollen though and hoping for a good outcome. Bruising is minimal. I only have a few small bruises at this point. Recovery has also been difficult. I spent first day staying asleep with pain killers. Today is my second day and now I am taking less medication and moving about tenderly. The compression garment is uncomfortable, hot and itchy but that I can live with. My arms hurt the worse, followed by my rib cage, my back is the least painful. I hope it is worth it because I am scheduled to go back in two months for my lower body. As bad as it was I will do it again if I get good results. Time will tell but don't think it will be gentle folks this procedure really hurts, I would have killed for real sedation.
I had Aqualipo liposuction done back in February in addition to Natural Fill where they transfer the fat they take out to somewhere else, I had fat removed from my outer thighs and moved to my breasts. Here's my experience with it all:
I went to Dr. Zimmerman at Purely You Body Sculpting in Denver. What a great doctor! So gentle and caring. I've wanted lipo for years thanks to some genetically inherited misplaced fat bags on my outer thighs.... and the lack of squishy stuff in my breasts. I did years of research comparing methods, techniques, etc... recovery time, pros / cons, you name it. I never found anything I thought was the perfect fit. Then last year I renewed my search again and came across Aqualipo liposuction - it seemed too good to be true! I work full-time so I needed something that wouldn't cut into my work too much... and Aqualipo seemed to fit the bill.
For my procedure, having aqualipo on my thighs and moving the fat to my breasts, took about 3-4 hours. It was painful during the procedure, but not unbearable. I was able to walk-out of the office afterwards (had boyfriend drive me home) and basically kicked it on the couch all weekend (my procedure was done on Friday). I was sore mostly on my thighs, but just took some pain killers to help and that made a big difference. My wounds were left open to drain (all the liquid / blood from the procedure) so I had bandaids everywhere, but didn't need much more than that. They closed up within about 3 days and I was bandaid free. The bruising healed about 90% within the first week, there was one lingering bruise on my lower left thigh that lasted about two weeks, but didn't hurt - just looked bad. The pain was nearly completely gone within the first week. So, I had my procedure on Friday and was back to work just fine on Monday - it was very impressive!
For both procedures, Dr. Zimmerman was very kind and worked me a stellar deal just because he wanted to help and I didn't have quite enough to pay full price.... he was so nice to work with and understanding.
Anyways, I would highly recommend Aqualipo and NaturalFill to anyone! Aqualipo is the same thing as BodyJet, when I was in the doctor's office, all the equipment says BodyJet.... so I think Aqualipo is just another name for it. Some marketing ploy, maybe. Hahah!
Hope that helps, if anyone out there is interested! And if you're in the Denver area looking for a great Aqualipo liposuction doctor, check out Dr. Zimmerman at Purely You: http://www.purelyyou.co
