Electric Shock Sensation

Postby RoundIsAShape » Tue Sep 10, 2013 12:44 pm

Hello Ladies and Gentlemen,

I am a 29 year old healthy female, got some smart lipo done on my back in early June of this year. I was insanely bruised, my entire back was purple and blue and it was so sore to the point I only slept on my tummy and couldn't lean back on any chair back up until end of July. When I finally got some sensation back and the tenderness wasn't that bad, I started having "electric shock" and "lightning" feeling all over my body at the first signs of breaking a sweat. Those episodes would come every time I feel warm or sweat slightly and they would last up to about 20 minutes. The feeling is horrible, it is all over my back and sometimes shoots down to my knees. I took benedryll which didn't help at all, I used aloe vera, witch hazel, aveeno anti itch, cortisteroid creams, etc and absolutely nothing works at all. The only thing that helps me at the attack times is cold water. Yup, taking an ice cold shower makes the shocks subsidize until they finally go away.

I self medicated (I know it's stupid, but I was desperate and my doctor moved to Germany) with Neurotine and it does calm me down within 4-6 minutes if I am in the street and don't have access to a cold shower.

I read about the nerve damage that could happen after lipo, I heard about the itching and the zingers sometimes but I have never heard anyone who got such severe episodes. I can't work out, or go out in the sun, or walk a little faster than turtle pace and I don't know what to do.
Has anyone had anything similar? Can someone please help? I am terrified and very frustrated.

Hi hopefully this reply reaches you given that it has been years. I too had lipo and am experiencing what you had described. Did you overcome the zinger feelings, if so, how long did it take for your body to fully recover? If not, how do you manage to this day?
