Has anyone had the ultrashape procedure done...Does it work...Im considering getting it done since it is an alternative to lipo and is painless, takes about 3 sessions ( 1 month apart ) to see results..I heard results are permanent unless excessisive weight gain and no exercise. Also no anesthesia is needed..

Any feedback would be greatly appreciated. Thks

Hay, I don't know if it works or not, but i saw a lady do it on the Rachael Ray show. this lady had several sessions and it showed her before and afters, they swore it worked, but I couldn't see how. I had tumescent lipo of trunk and inner/outer thighs 5 days ago, will watch this post to see what happens.

had lots of stuff about thermage, which sounds similar (but not exactly) - and horror stories about it. I am not sure we're "there" yet with the technology around melting fat from the outside.

You could try posting to that board and seeing if anyone is familiar.

Exactly my thoughts too! If it sounds to good to be true then it prpbably is.
Everything I have heard about it so far is not good. I think the jury is still out on this new procedure so for now I'll stick by the results of LIPO.

I had one of these devices......... cost more than a house
The procedure and the device sounds too good to be true .
And it is .It does not work for the claims that continue to be made . Multiple expensive treatments are needed for a very tiny result if any .
I have stopped offering this service to my patients as I cannot ethically supply a service that does not deliver. Save your money have liposuction for real visible result from a skilled operator

I had a treatment with Ultrashape about 10 months ago on my stomach. I didn't have a lot of fat there , but an unsightly bulge when I was sitting down. I only had the one session and after about a month I saw a really good improvement and it's stayed that way too. So yes, for me Ultrashape did work very well!

Not sure if you're in the States or not, but here in the Uk I paid £600 for the one session, this also included 2 free Accent treatments ,one before and after the Ultrashape treatment and this helps tighten the collagen in the skin for improved results.

Do bear in mind though, that the number of treatments recommeded for a significant difference is 3, so it could prove quite expensive. I guess I was lucky in that the one treatment was enough. I've read other good reviews about Ultrashape on another forum, but there are also those who are disappointed and haven't seen any difference. Perhaps it's very much dependant on an individuals own metabolism etc. It took me a month to see a flatter stomach, and you have to follow a low fat diet following the treatment too.

For me the advantage was that it was non-surgical, completely pain free and the results are totally smooth and even.

I have to wonder how much the low fat diet is responsible for the results? Perhaps try the diet first before outlaying your $$$$.

I don`t need the diet..My weight has been at 120 pounds for the last 10 years at 5`4, I east very healthy already and exercise at least twice a week. .. Why I was interested in Ultrashape is because I have stubborn fat in outer/inner thigh that I can;t get rid of thats why I figuered if Ultrashape results work thats amazing , dont have to go through surgery..I live in Canada and Ultrashape is indeed available here..I will go in for a consultation and see exactly what I can expect from this procedure..

Hello. I tried Ultrashape and was happy with the results. Discussed the proceedure over the phone and the lady was very informative and knowledgable. She told me how it worked and the expected results so I knew what to expect. The laser doesn't really melt the fat but sort of pops the fat cells. It goes to a depth or destroys the cells to a depth of 3/4 of an inch. The technology is the same as what is used to break up kidney stones. The reason for the diet afterward is to remove the fat from the body. Was told to stay away from carbs and do 20-30 minutes of additional excersize. (That is on top of whatever you already do.) The reason is to get the body to remove/burn/absorb the fat has been lasered.

I work out regularly doing cardio and weights and maintain a healthy diet. However after each pregnancy while I was able to return to my pre-pregnancy weight, I had extra fat around my stomach. I call it back fat because most of it is on my sides/ back.

I had my stomach done on the front and each side. I noticed a difference although it is small. That is why this is ideal for people who have 2-4 inches of fat they would like to remove.

Went to Canada for this procedure and although was worried about the price was pleasantly surprised when my bill was $300 less due to the currency exchange.

Will do it again.

I had 4 ultrashape sessions in Canada and I think it worked- but it made me a little lopsided! I am not upset about it, but it worked better on one thigh than the other... I am going to have smart lipo in 5 days to even everything out. I believe I would be having smart lipo next week regardless if I had ultra shape or not. If they had Ultra Shape in the states- I would definetly do it again!
