okay had to admit bad day today. I cried all day from pain and skin tightness plus the fact my stomach looks like a wrinkly brain. The best part was I made peanut butter brownie's and pretty much ate all of them. Is that bad? i think im entitled to brownies.. :/

Has anyone heard or resarched accupunture after liposcuction? or has anyone tried it? I was reading articles that say accupunture after lipo aids in healing, swelling, etc...anyone have input or thoughts?

thank you btrflykisses2009

I am doing so many things to get rid of this swelling, it's a 24/7 job. Trying different girdles, drinking water, pineapple juice, arnica, massage with Clarins products,etc... The massage I give myself is sooooo sothing, i can actually feel the fluid going down when i press my fingers into my belly. I go out a bit and come back home running to do my massage... sheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeshhhhh

btrflykisses2009 wrote:Hello,

These postings have really helped. Im 36 female and decided to have lipo on my stomach. My stomach was very nice and smooth but had that little pooch belly i just couldnt get rid of no matter what. Im in great health, work out, don't smoke, drink ets. My Dr . said i was a great candidate for the procedure.

im 3 weeks post op and i am miserble. My stomach looks horrible. it is very painful and filled with lumps and ropes and un-even bumps everywhere, I have ugly lose skin hanging on top of my midsection that i did not have before. My skin is so tight across the middle and sides its painful when I move and have to sleep on my back.

I just started endermologie and hope that helps with the deep massage of my stomach area. I am so depressed and have cried everyday. I won't show my stomach becasue it looks like a 90 year lady. I wished i never got the procedure done and my Dr is very well known and good at what he does. Has anyone else had this problem and did they see any positive results down the road. My eyes fill with tears as i write this. I will try and post pics tomorrrow.

I COMPLETELY sympathize. I had lipo over a year ago. It has ruined my skin and my stomach is awful. Its completely destroyed. I always had smooth skin, and it had a firm feel to it. After lipo it was pudgy, lose, with hard lumps, uneven and very ugly and I wonder how quick I will age with lose skin structure like this? The areas lipoed looked awful. I wouldn't recommend liposuction to anyone. Its the most disappointing procedure and ruins you, not help you.
I have now found out that for smaller fat areas one doesn't have to have any surgery. There are many other options. If you have too much excess weight, do reversible lapband surgery so your skin stays young, you have no lumps, and will lose all weight without surgery. Liposuction = never.

Hi everyone! I wanted to post to this subject because I have had two surgeries to correct uneven lumpy surgery. What I believe has helped the most with the skin tightening and smoothing the area was the vellasmooth treatments I had. I believe this treatment is called vellasmooth or vellashape. I had five treatments and you can tell in my photos that is does make a difference. I wish everyone the best of luck, I will tell you that I heal very slowly and it has taken a full year for me to look more even, and I still have an area that I have scar tissue not for sure if it is perminant or not? Keep your heads up it takes along time to heal!!

What type of procedures did everyone have? Is there a difference in the procedures when it comes to the
lump/bump/ropey skin? I am almost afraid to have this surgery and that is the only type of surgery that I am asking for. I am starting to have second thoughts about this. Who are the PS did everyone go to if you all don't mind me asking.

I am 12 weeks post op - upper and lower abs (lipo). i don't recognize myself. my belly button is flat and horizontal (used to be fine) i have a ridge above the belly button (probably causing the flattening) as well as lumps throughout.

why did i do this?

Wow, I'm glad I read this post. I am 7 weeks po today... full tt with mr and lipo to abs, love handles, arms, thighs and chin. I have had little experience with the ropes, lumps and bumps. For the first few weeks I could feel hard spots in my arms but it is almost gone now. My arms however, have been and continue to be the worst lipo spot for healing, most painful, strangest sensations, etc. My chin had a hard lump under the left side which is also going down. I've had virtually no pain in the chin and abs. I know my ps did MAJOR lipo in the abs along with my tt.

I still see only minor results on the chin, arms, thighs but I know it's too early to judge (I hope!). I developed necrosis along my incision in the first week and am still dealing/healing with that so my stomach is always bandaged and I haven't been able to give a really good feel for lumps and bumps. I don't think I have any though. I have noticed that my right side is showing better results than the left in all the spots that were done. I hope this is just a time matter and revisions won't be necessary???

So, while I haven't been without complications, reading this post has encouraged me that my ps has done a fantastic job with the lipo in my torso. Ps says he took 4000 cc's and 6 lbs from my tummy/abs. Even though I've had no pain (other than mr) in my upper/lower abs from the lipo, I know he did a lot because people are seeing me for the first time (knowing I was having work done) and looking right at my boobs then say, 'they look great!" My boobs weren't touched! LOL He removed so much from my upper abs that it has made my boobs look huge! I wasn't too impressed with this at first as I had a breast REDUCTION years ago. LOL When I said this to ps, his response was, 'skinny with big boobs is not necessarily a bad thing'. Of course, all I heard was...'skinny'!! LOL

I didn't expect this at all and because I don't want to hide my new stomach, I'm just going to have to embrace the boobs and work them too!

I'd like to hear from more chin lipo ppl...I'm really hoping time will continue to produce more shrinking.
