hey yall i had my lipo on chest, flanks and abs 3 weeks ago and i cant wait to go back to the gym and weight lifting! was wondering if its ok for me to go back.....my body still hurts a lil but i cant wait, is it ok for me to go back?
I had my procedure on Oct 20th and got back to the gym on Nov 3rd. I did my first full upper body and lower body workout this week. I'm still VERY swollen in the abdomen but I think getting the circulation going in important for healing so I'm back weight training. I will say that I am being more careful and not going for burnout on each muscle group.
My Dr. told me that the collagen really starts to form at week three so it's important to clear as much out of the body as possible. He also told me to expect swelling through the first three months.
My stomach still has an aching pain if I've been on my feet or at a desk all day. I'm hoping that goes away soon but I'm still really happy with my results.
My PS told me to stay out of the gym and weightlifting for the first two months. Depending on how I'll feel, I'll try getting back to the gym sooner and do some type of fast paced inclined walking or something...
