thermage

thermageI just spent 3 hours and $3000 having thermage done. I am so disappointed with the results so far. I look the same even though I was told I would see immediate results. I am hoping that as the days go by I will start seeing the results. My queston is how long if there are side affects do they appear? What should I be looking for? I am thinking what a waste of good money, I should have spent it on the "Life style lift". At this point unless there is alot more improvement I would advise against have thermage done.
The general feeling on this board I think is that it is basically a ripoff. Realself.com is being sued by thermage for all the bad postings on it. Dont do the lifestylelift. A lot of those drs that do it are not board certified and they only make 800 for doing it. Go to the facelift board at the top they have a pro and against the lifestyle lift.(they had to separate it because it is such a heated topic) Also there are postings on realself.com.
I also wasted money on Thermage, but at least I had no damage that I noticed. I wasted close to 3K as well. There's a lot on the internet about lifestyle lift complaints and lawsuits as well, so I'd stay away from that. I research everything really well before I spend my money and risk my face - I guess I learned my lesson!
happy with thermageI had thermage here in the Chicago area 3 days ago. I was told not to expect results for a few weeks, and it can take anywhere from 2--6 mos. to see the results. However, results were immediately visible on my face -- eyelid hooding was reduced, my jawline looked firmer. I went to a very, very reputable place, I was given good information, and I feel it was very worth it. Neighbors have commented that I look "brighter."
I had Thermage done to my whole face back in Sept of 2005, but had him concentrate on my jowel areas. I didn't expect to see a change right away, it did make a difference with my jowels not being so pronounced & when I went back into the doctor after 3 mo I think, he took after pics & you could definitely see the change. I knew the effects wouldn't be long term, after 4 yrs I look okay but it wasn't worth that kind of money.
I'm 49 yrs old now. After 4 yrs of aging would I spend $3,000 now to get that same procedure? No I wouldn't, I would consider a less invasive surgical procedure.
