Does Obagi have a peptide component?

Postby mickey3 » Wed Aug 05, 2009 3:54 pm

I keep reading that peptides are the way to go to rebuild collagen. Does anyone know if Obagi offers this in their system?

Well, i'm a bit skeptical of peptides being the collagen booster it claims, but in answer to your question, no.

Obagi does have the elastiderm products with the coper zinc malanate which will stimulate collagen and elastin, but retin-a does a good job of keeping cells activated too, which builds collagen. Honestly, the best way to fill in the gaps is with a filler, or medical needling combined with topicals - trauma causes collagen formation!

I no longer post regularly on MMH, but i'm delighted to help those with skin care questions. My email is the best way to contact me: admin@vmdskincare.com. Wishing you happy, healthy, and flawless skin ;)!
