How to use the Obagi Nu-derm starter kit??

Postby nicoleAZ » Tue Jun 02, 2009 6:19 pm

So I am new to message board. I purchased the full size Obagi Nu derm starter kit online. I got the 7 peice set which includes the cleanser, toner, blender, sunfader, sunblock, clear, and exfoderm. I have scheduled an appointment with a dermatologist but want to start the set asap. Can anyone give me a low down on how to use each products and is it necessary to use retin-A with the starter set? Thanks so much!

A "cheat sheet" for you:

(scroll down mid-page for directions for OBAGI use)

also, the company website is helpful: obagi.com

w/o knowing your goals, concerns, skin type, etc... it's hard to know if you have the correct kit - and how to use it! Meet with a derm that sells obagi, is my suggestion. :)
I no longer post regularly on MMH, but i'm delighted to help those with skin care questions. My email is the best way to contact me: admin@vmdskincare.com. Wishing you happy, healthy, and flawless skin ;)!

You should see a Derm to get you started on the system. You need to add Clear & Retin A into the program and these are prescription items. You need to be advised how much of each product you use and you need a program on usage, AM, PM and which days and times you use each product. When you start the NuDerm system you usually go on it for 18 months, but your Derm will evaluate your skin and give you a program.

Good luck, it works, but you need to be patient and get through the red, peeling, dry stages. Also, you never go off the Obaji system, you will just go on a Maintenance Program.
